Feeling half decent squat and deadlift moved great on the last singles the other day. 370 moved about the same as 367.5 the other week but felt a bit better. Have a rougher work week this week and the other week didn’t add in light squat after deadlift when my back was fried. Did it this week and legs are a bit sore now but if I can hit 565 decent I should have some room in there still. So far 1660 total for the week between the 3 lifts and none were all out maxes. Won’t have to cut. Things are looking good.
For anyone that hasn’t followed me for long my best comp total was 568/375/750 at 188.7 in wraps. No cut, 2 hour weigh in.

565 squat did not move how id like. Little bit of everything factored into that. Bodyweight was down, trying to fit my buddy back there to spot so not walk back too far. Accidently took a little wider of a stance and sore legs. It was definitely not what I wanted. Deadlift today moved decent. 745. Left knee is acting up and pops in and out during the pull and squat volume causes some pain. About 3.5 weeks out.
Squat moved this time. Smoked 570. Took work easier this week, didn’t work through lunch this time and made sure to drink water. Also had two spotters so I could walk out normal. All around felt great

Pulled 750 about an hour ago. Whip caught me a bit but locked it. Asked jonny candito and a few other powerlifters their opinions on the lift. They agree it would most likely get 2 white if not 3. It was shaky rather than hitching. Weight actually doesn’t feel overly heavy it’s more that my body isn’t quite used to lifting heavy heavy weight. I used to do 700+ 1-3 times a month. I haven’t hit anything over a heavy set of 4 in over a year. Only been max rep sets in the 7-9 rep range and the time I was told to take a break between programming I asked to do that heavy set of 4 in each lift. Anyway that puts my week lifts at 570/372.5/750 tying my best wrapped comp total 1692 but with some room in the squat and deadlift and a little on bench.

I love how happy your spotter is with that 570 squat! I thought that was 530 initially and you were going to double it, which I think you honestly probably could’ve with how quickly that moved.

Yea he’s a good buddy, been helping me prep for my meet. Coming by to spot mostly for bench. Just started with 2 spotters on squat recently. That 570 moved better than any squat I’ve done over 545. Really happy with it.

750 pull. Let me know what you guys think. I am thinking along the lines of 775+ in comp. That’ll at least take the second highest tested 198 deadlift ever.

I would say with a good taper, you could pull 775. Little bit of struggle there at the knee but not much of a bar speed reduction.

Hit 575 squat today. Im a bit lighter bodyweight than I want to be right now at 193.5. If I can get to and stay about 196-197 I should be perfect weight. Included is a picture of me being skinny fat for ig. Also this caps off a 1,700lb raw total for the week with most of the volume in there after.

Thanks. Hoping there’s a bit more in me with a week off before the comp. Pulled 755 today slower than I’d like. And gonna take 375 again Wed and 580 on Friday
The most recent sbd from the past week. Bench and deadlift moved slow. I tried to pull the deadlift off the floor slower to prevent whip. I’m pulling normal for the comp after how that went.

Well 375 moved better today. I have been hitting the chiropractor a few times and definitely helping. Shoulder felt pretty good today. More focus on the lift than on my shoulder being very uncomfortable at the bottom.

Hit my final heavy lift before the meet. 580 squat, which is the heaviest sleeved squat I’ve ever done. It moved well. Post vids of my bench and squat probably tomorrow. Bodyweight well within range. A touch under 195. Would prefer to be a bit heavier.

All weighed in. 193lbs. Didn’t cut but also didn’t eat like crazy the yesterday. Drank a good amount of water, went to bed at 197 and what ever shed off over night and before weigh in is where I sat. Openers at 240-529/ 152.5-336/ 317.5-700. Squat bar is a Texas squat bar, thought it was gonna be a taxes power bar so well see how that feels.
