Yea been I know. My job is actually awesome most days. Class and lifting in the cold has been the real killer. Had my final on Monday and literally 2/3 of the way through it my nose started bleeding I think from the cold dry air we’ve been having. blowing my nose constantly didn’t help either.
Signed all the paperwork for my house today so I’m working on moving in over the next few weeks. Was out earlier in the day working on my truck that a friend is buying from me. Was a little tired hitting the gym and decided to call it a day pretty quick. I could tell strength wasnt there for today. On a good note saw my chiropractor the other day and he fixed my shoulder right up. Feels good but u know if I push it itll give me problems so going to take it slow.

Taking my time coming back hitting some more reps for squat. Legs are feeling it. Had a few things to do on the way to the gym, got there in time for a fire drill and Got stuck waiting for a rack so wasnt real into it. Did some squats and started to do weighted back extensions but my right hamstring was tight so called it another early day.

You guys will have to bare with with here. Haven’t had a ton of strength coming off this cold and also not drinking enough water or eating enough. Just been so busy. Bought a car today, my buddy is buying my race truck from me. Did some deadlifts that didn’t move that great probably also has to do with the added squat volume since I’m used to 1,2 and 3s.

Soreness wise my legs are adjusting to the squat volume. They do feel tired though. Hit a few sets of triples at 425 today with anywhere between 2-4+ reps in the tank surprisingly or not the first set and last two were the hardest. Deadlifted speed work some ghr and machine rows. Getting back into it. Speed work wasn’t as fast as I have moved it but acceptable for how my legs feel.

Been a few days since I’ve been sick and everything is starting to feel good again. Hit bench up to some triples at 315 leaving about 2 or 3 reps in the tank. I really want to try not to grind weight on the major lifts right now, though you’ll see I do miss a rep on paused close grip bench. No big deal I have a hard time at the transfer point. Hit Db press, heavy ish rows, pause close grip bench. And talked to a buddy about training. A big pull (730+) won’t be happening right now. The added squat volume is killing the deadlift but once it tapers I’ll be looking for big numbers on both. I’ll post a video in a few which has most of my workout today. Really looking forward to putting up some good numbers around June ish and hopefully something crazy by the end of the year.

Almost skipped today cause i had to bring drywall to my house but cause we forgot a cordless impact gun to bolt up some seats we finished early enough for me to get to the gym. It was a good thing too even though I wasnt feeling it at first, I had one of the better deadlift sessions since my comp. And probably my best multi set pull. Trying to get hook grip worked in but with high ish reps (for hook grip) I only used it for one set of the 4x4 them strapped for the other 3.

Snowed last night and didn’t stop till about 4 pm. I woke up this morning and tried to get off work. Was told i had to come in so got 1/3 to work about 12 miles doing 30 with people that can’t drive and got lucky and work closed. Unfortunatly so did the gym. I may go downstairs and load up the rack for squats but i don’t know for sure. Drove over to my house (not moved in yet doing work on it, painting eat) and stated to shovel. I can honestly say I am glad I have the neighbor I have, he let me borrow his snow blower. I’m definitely getting one myself. All around great guy though gave me some homemade crab bisque that was awesome to welcome me to the neighborhood too.
The eternal quest
Had about 50% more people in the gym for the new year. And saw my deadlift bar getting used a lot. I was waiting for someone to try and bench or squat or row with it but no one did surprisingly. Hit some flat Bench ( is rough on my shoulders without handoffs) switched to Slingshot for decent weight triples and one long paused single raw after. Moved on to Pull-ups, Db press, Barbell rows, shoulder press, and some tricep extensions cause everything else was taken up finished with a quick bit of paused close grip bench. Gotta say I have a certain shirt I like to wear for bench days it just makes me look big as shit ha ha.
