18 Years Old with Low Test

How much would it cost to do a blood screening. I feel like I get soft erections and not as hard as when I first was going threw puberty. Also I feel like I cannot finish sometimes.I never taken hormones or steroids and not looking forward to it. I just felt like you guys would be a good source to ask.

What other drugs do you use and how often do you drink?

Drugs: Rx or others

Never been on RX drugs. Not in a long time and bearly drink.

Like once a year I might drink but have not in a long time.

could be that you dont consume enough fats and/or calories per day and your body’s levels of testosterone have plummeted as a result. If that’s the case try adding fish oil, tribulis, and consume more whole eggs, broccoli, and spinach

I have the same problem accompanied with chronic joint pain. I just got a bunch of panels done last week. I am still currently waiting on the results. I will know how much they charged for the full blood work when the results come in. I found it very hard to get cortisol levels and free t3 though. After asking several times the doctor insisted we only needed test, free test, free t4, and tsh. He also tried to throw every Rx drug at me in the book as far as stress relief is concerned. The word prozac came out of his mouth more times than i can count.

Im acually dieting so I intake more fat. I take 6 Flamouts a day,8 whole eggs. Although not really that much fiber. I bearly eat that much fruits. I also take 12 fa3 pills a day.

Bacopa, phosphadetylserine, glycine, should all help with cortisol, but I don’t know about the pain.

I take it you know about capsaicin and substance P interaction.

BBB[/quote]

Thanks BBB i was aware of the interaction and if i understand correctly a new drug is being marketed using Capsaicin for this very purpose. I think its called Adlea? It is still in early trials i believe. My understanding of neurology is pretty basic at this point especially compared to yours.

I still can’t believe the doctor kept running with the stress card, he thinks my joint pain is the cause of my stress. In all reality school and not being able to lift weights are the causes of my stress. The joint pain came first. Anyways, i have been watching this thread and i think i may suggest some deprenyl if he keeps pushing for the anti-depressants/anti-anxiety Rx. However, i have yet to see my labs. Those should give us a better idea of where i’m at. I go in for my next visit on Wednesday.

This was the thread i was referring to:

I just got sort of got my results back. All i know right now is that my Free Test Levels came back low and my Resting Test came back normal. All thyroid came back normal also and so did all other testing. I’ll get the numbers on wednesday. Im confused as shit. Low free test + joint pain. Could it be the cause?

What the cost for this test?

Check out lef.org and look under “products” for blood tests or privatemdlabs.com

For a full panel relevant for HRT it’s about $300, maybe a little more. You might be able to get it cheaper through a doctor if you have insurance though.

That was about the cost of mine also without insurance coverage. MIGHT BE ALOT cheaper with a doc and good insurance

From what I have noticed from the numerous anti-depressants/anti-anxiety medications i have been prescribed in the past is that they tend to kill my ability to get an erection. This in turn would make me even more depressed. what worked best for me in the end was gettin back into the gym (I herniated a disc 2 years ago and thats when the shit hit the fan), a good diet, and tribulus.
