18, Wondering How To Make A Jump

I usually don’t post on this forum but since you’re a fellow Ontarian… here’s some advice based on what’s worked for me. I’ve put on 20 lbs this past 2 months, most of it muscle little bit of fat by eating the following way:

Example of a lifting day:

Morning: Apple + 2 slices Ezekiel Bread + Honey + Bee Pollen (I hate breakfast)

Late Morning: 4 egg omelette + Hunter Beef in it + 2 slices Ezk. Bread.

1 hour preworkout:
1 whole dark chocolate bar (lol I love chocies)

Workout

Post-Workout: 2 L of lactose free milk

Dinner: 1 Large Pizza ( multigrain dough, thin crust, lots of exotic veggies).

And as for ur workout, Its not intense enough. I do lots of Powerlifting + Oly lifting work maybe thats why I see it that way… dunno.

I think I’d be in fear of death due to Malnutrition from that diet. Beisdes I’ve heard its better to have 6 big meals with spacing in between rather than 2 bigger meals spaced farther apart.
What kind of oly lifts do you do. I have no one to coach me on them so I’m a bit scared to go teaching myself snatchs and clean and jerks you know?

Clearly he doesn’t deadlift the barbell before he shrugs it (really high rack pull+shrug). What’s surprising?

That’s easily the highest score i’ve seen on this site for someone your size, people must like your style or something. i think in a few days it’ll average its way down to about a 3.5.
i hope if i ever post in this section i get as good a rating as this.

Sorry to doubt you but have you rated yourself 10 on several diferent T-Nation accounts?

One more thing, you said that you didn’t want to lose your abs, but i’m afraid you don’t have any, have a look at Mad Titan, they’re abs!!

Hahaha to be honest I havent even rated myself once and I wouldnt be giving a 10 if I did. I’m pretty surprised by my score too. Especially seeing as it says theres been 2000 hits for this thread so must be a decent amount of people voting. I dont get it either. I’ll defiantely take a 4.7

not an honest number. your not a 4, more to the tune of 1-3 tops. not being mean in any way. iwouldn’t rate myself a 5-6 and i am in great shape. but seriously lift heavy eat clean(to the standards of this site)not your standard because your diet is not all that put together. but keep at it and post in 6 months or so.seriously. great luck to you man keep working

So its been about a week since I started this thread and posted my maxs. I’ve gained 2 pounds and pushed up some of my lifts so havent plateaued its still coming.

Old numbers here
Bench 210x 3 NOW 220x 4
Clean and Press 110x 5 NOW 135x 4
Squat 275x 6 fixed my technique completely now gotta go up slow from a lower weight
Dead 260x 6 haven’t pushed the max again yet.
Shrugs 400x 6 NOW 405x 8

Not bad for a week I guess.

total bullshit, no one shrugs more than they deadlift unless its on one of those piece of shit fake machines., same with the clean man, you dont bench that much and clean so little, grow up bro!

I shrug with the bar already really high. Someone else described it well as a really high rack pull then shrug. And I bench that much more than I clean because I started cleaning way after bench. I only started it like 2 months ago and its been climbing steadily and its not slowing down.

What the hell would I have to gain lieing to you, I dont even know who you are. And if you want to accuse me of lieing at least read the rest of the thread.

alright this has gone far enough, ok let me post my lifts i am 6ft 1 in 215lbs, i can bench 750x4,squat 1100x2(my back hurts)and also i 1 arm curl 250.and i shrug 550!

See the point? you don’t have to be an ass and lie about it you are gonna get called out.i doubt your lifts all together seeing you weigh a hundred and shit for pounds. come on man i already tried to reason with you. stop the trolling!!!just eat lift and repeat until your “numbers” become reality

Which of my numbers are so outrageous??? And what could I possibly gain by lieing to you guys?

I could tape them for you if you like and have a pansy assed video of me lifting a fraction of what you guys lift if you really want. But thats not going to get me anywhere either because another guy will come in and say why would you film such weak crap.

I have nothing to gain by lieing with those kind of numbers because you guys wont respect them anyway! Theyre good for a skinny university kid who does this as a dedicated hobby but its nothing to you guys who think wanting to stay cut is a sign of weakness.

If I wanted an ego boost WHY would I post here? In day to day life with my friends I’m in better shape than any of them and they know it. If I want a ego boost I could stay with that and have them all think I’m so ripped.

So why instead did I put msyelf at the bottom of the food chain here? Becuase you guys know better than they do.

I dont care if you think I’m too weak or scrawny or dont eat enough or have somehting wrong with my program. But don’t accuse me of lieing about a couple stupid numbers because that wastes all our time.

liar

just kidding
i also dont think ur lift numbers are unbelievable at 170 which also happens to be my weight, and i have comparable numbers

as for gaining bulk… same thing as everyone else just eat more… in the past 7 weeks i went from 155-170 (i also have the skinny bastard metabolism)and have gotten significantly stronger and basically i just eat and eat and eat to the point that i feel as if i can’t stuff anymore down and i might throw up, though still through mostly quality calories

dont worry about gaining a little fat, with ur metabolism ull be able to almost immediately shed it in time for any sort of vacation or outing in which u feel its necessary to take ur shirt to flash taht panty dropping midsection to all ur girlfriends

example this spring break i wanted (like you) to have my abs really cut… so two weeks prior to leaving i dropped down to 1500-1700 calories a day and continued to lift. I went from 155lbs-148lbs that on top of getting a tan and dehydrating myself with gallons of alcohol and i looked crazy cut

point is, for u losing weight is the easy so put ur abs out of ur mind and do the hard part… u can have abs anytime u want

Most likely the same reason most people that are not grip limited on their deadlift can pull more off the pins than off the floor.

I’m 18 and I’ve been working out for almost 2 years. Although only the past 6 months have been smart and hard enough to make any real difference(diet and strategy got better). But for the most part I’ve just gotten cut up and can’t bulk all that much. My weights gone from 145 to 170 but its been a very slow process.

Do you guys see any deficiencies or have any ideas to break the barrier between cut and bulk? My diet is about 4-5000 calories on good days.
Camera died before I could get a good pic of my back since I was retarded and couldnt do it well in front of a mirror.
First pic is january 150-155 lbs.[/quote]

You look excellent. You are way ahead of other kids your age. Eat good food (don’t worry about the quantity), and train consistently. That’s all there is to it. By 20 you’ll be in really great shape.
