Austin, how much are your arms and forearms now?
They’re about 18 1/4 cold when I wake up.
They haven’t gotten to much bigger on the measuring tape but they are bigger. I’ve leaned up a bit. I also curled 145 x 9 last week and dead skulled 140 x 8 so my numbers keep going up and I’m pretty sure I’m gaining muscle while losing fat.
18.25 cold man, damn. 1/4 inch on me, are you finding it harder to put size on now that theyre up there on the ruler? im weighing in at 249-250 now, and it seems now that every 10 lbs now is a 1/2 an inch rather than a full one.
Of course it gets harder to add another inch but that’s the name of the game. Volume of a cylinder is pier^2height. So that r^2 will be getting bigger everytime you’re arm gets bigger leaving more change in volume as you increase from 18-19 than 17-18 or any combo of bigger numbers.
Right now I’m still weighing like 260. My numbers are still moving up. Arm growth is ok but like I said I’m leaning out a bit. My weight hasn’t changed but my arms seem bigger. I’ll be doing tries later hopefully hit some nasty weights and I keep killing bicep curls. More lean body mass will lead to bigger arm we just need even more than before to get them bigger. You seem to be doing well keep at it.

Your looking thick as hell man. Good work.
And thanks for lighting the fire under my ass to get my pressing up. It was like clairvoyance or something, my titties are coming in nicely.

Haha not a problem dude. I love heavy pressing it’s fun and nothing beats setting a PR on bench press. It’ll also add some serious upper body mass to you too. Keep hitting it hard, get that Ronnie Coleman chest

Yeah, he also missed by a mile the simple realization that no one goes from skinny to fucking huge by staying in perpetual contest condition (unless large amounts of drugs are involved)

i thought my words were “make w/e arguement about the how neccassary it is to put on bodyfat while bulking, bodybuilding is still a visual display”
…so while yes, I agree completely that you shouldn’t claim some larger arm measurement if you are carrying so much body fat that you can’t see the biceps or the triceps, you also shouldn’t go around insulting everyone who isn’t ripped right now because they are trying to get even bigger.

i was unaware i insulted anyone.
am aware of how long and how much bodyfat is normally involved in getting “fucking huge” i train with a guy(natural) who hovers around 265lbs and i can still seperation in his arm.

You still using the Dbs or did you switch to BB and what’s your top working sets looking like?

Well I can see clear seperation in my arms in the last four pics and nobody was claiming to be Ronnie contest ready. Bodybuilding isn’t only about looking like you’re about to enter a show, but the majority of the time is spent packing on mass then spending 12 weeks or so getting shredded. Sometimes people put on some more bodyfat in order to grow at a quicker rate than others, and some people just can’t avoid it.

Still with the DB’s. I been playing around with my sets and last time was something like
45x12
65x8
75x3
85x2
95x1
3x5 @ 105’s
This was on a shit day calorie wise too, so I threw in the extra set of 105. I was at 105x6 the time prior.
I’m thinking about going to BB’s. I hit the 110’s for 3, and I don’t really feel safe going that heavy with the DB’s, now that like 35 people have warned me about it…

what did people warn you about, out of curiosity? I just hit the 110’s x 4 on flat DB and i didn’t get any unsafe feeling. I definitely do with failing on incline though, considering my right shoulder has popped out of it’s socket 3 times since May while inclining.

I imagine the shit your talking about lol. Nah they just said 5-6 rep max was a good weight on DB’s, no specifics given really. I never really thought about it until they said it. Which sucks, because now I can’t stop thinking about it.
But honestly, when 45’s are your 3 rep max, that is the last thing your thinking about. I just never lost that outlook I guess. I was always looking forward, gotta add weight, ya know? So even when I got to the 90,95,100’s I would jump up once I hit 6 reps and start all over. I am a weak presser, and have a huge hardon to change that right now.
Dude(s) for real listen to your body. If it’s not supposed to be doing something it will let you know. Just because someone says you’ll get hurt doing a certain movement because they did sure as hell doesn’t mean you will. Same goes when someone says barbell flat bench was the money maker exercise for their chest. You’ll find the same amount of people saying benching is a sure way to get a pec tear. Try to focus all the crap out and listen to you and keep progressing. That’s the name of the game!

your latest arm shots looked impressive! the tricep shot in particular.
my arms are at 16.5 but im at a very slim frame right now if you look at my pics, im wonderin if thats bad speacialy since my forarms are becoming so disproportioned, the bicep and tricep are taking over, im afraid im going to end up looking like that one retard asshole with those fake tit looking biceps.

LMFAO, man. I’ve thought that exact same thing before because of the disparity between the development of my upper arms and forearms. I’ll get done with a back/bi workout and go flex in the mirror and be like “OMFG I look like Greg Valentino.” I think it’s hilarious that someone else has had this same thought run through their head, lol.

Haha Greg’s arms are so big I don’t think either of you have to worry about that. Maybe some direct forearm work would help?

I don’t think we were comparing so much our arms to the size of his but the relative disproportion of size of the upper arm to forearm. Yeah, the direct forearm work is helping though.
theunionforever, are you sure your arms are 16.5? Because mine are just now approaching 17, and we’re the same height, and I’m a LOT bigger everywhere else, but your arms don’t look big on your body at all. If I was 180 with 16.5 inch arms I would be a lot happier than being 220 with not much bigger, lol
