the hardest thing ive ever had is jackd 3d. pre workout.(i live in australia). i compete in a federation which bands even HOT-ROX. if you guys are happy with your progress, it really dont matter what people say. i will always strive for perfection(i will never get there) but i will never give up.im only a small man with a small frame.

i tried the bulking up and i just got fat. it did not work for me.i have just come back from an operation so my lifts arnt that crash hot or my size, but im getting there. 18 inch here i come. keep up the hard work. all of you. austin im coming for ur size. hahahahaha.

im 32, i weight in at 80kg, im 174cm
im 9% bodyfat atm
i just measured my arm its 16.6 inches
bench: 100kg 12reps

lunge stationary alternating: 80kg 10 reps
dl stiff:80kg 12 reps
bb curls: 50kg 12 reps
decline close grip: 60kg 10reps

not really wasting my time friend. i had emergency operation 3 months ago. lost meter and half of intestine.i lift weights for health as well as size. i also have other issues from previous operations. but i aint making excuses. i just need to be a little more causious bout what i do in the weight room. i would like to think i know what im doing. but who knows. im the go to guy in my gym.(i work there). but i see and hear massive numbers here.(im decent for a natural in my gym) i dont think i could do that even when i was at my prime. new breed… massive boys around here. [/quote]

100Kgx12 bench is only 220 lbs x12, I know you can get a lot stronger than that still and it won’t take any chemical assistance either. Routine and diet mostly… If you want, we can talk a little more in my training thread so that we won’t derail this one further.

With the wasting your time thing I meant merely that for the amount of weight you are gaining/food you are eating on a bulk, you also need to gain a good deal of strength, otherwise you’ll just get fat.
If, on a bulk, you gained 20Kg’s of bodyweight but your lifts only increased 10-20Kg’s each or so, then naturally your muscles don’t have much reason to get bigger and your body won’t have much reason to divert the additional resources it’s getting to muscle-building.

Is that usually the cause of that PX?

You know X, this here is kind of ironic.

As much as you hate it when people bring up/ask others about steroids you have provided another way for people to stereotype or judge AAS users. Even if the person doesn’t have small forearms or has less developed forearms for a variety of reasons, now people here are going to always be questioning the forearm development of anyone with an impressive physique haha

Dude, ahhh, hate to break it to you but cm’s don’t count.

Nah just kidding. Good work man. I’m shocked some assface hasn’t come in this thread and shit on you yet. Maybe this place is clearing up?

That isn’t based on a study, just my own opinion and observation. Most of the people with the genes to carry very large muscular upper arms without large amounts of anabolics seem to usually have the forearm size to back it up. It takes that degree of size and strength there to help someone move enough weight in curls to get their arm very big. The only way I see someone surpassing that and coming out the other end with relatively small forearms is if anabolics were used. To me that seems to imply that it is the easiest explanation for how someone ends up with arms near 20" yet forearms that would only be impressive if their upper arms were about 4" or more smaller.

The difference is, I am not talking about “steroid users vs non-steroid users”. I am talking about “steroid users who started VERY early on the hormones before they built up a base of mass naturally VS big people in general whether they used or not who built a base of mass first without “help”

Small forearms on a dude who is carrying over 230lbs of muscle looks fucking strange regardless of use.

Well just throwing it out there. The bicep is a bit over 18.5 and the forum is almost 15". Maybe I meaured wrong in June or my frum couldve just grown an inch.

hey bro, dont know whether i posted on this or ur 17" thread but nice work, how long ya reckon till the 19" is up, it hasnt been that long since this came up and ur already at 18.5"? Fucking nice! As i said in my PM, definately hope to be ur size some day. Cheers.

Hopefully will have 19"s by the end of the year. I have my shit together and my strength gains are doing well so I think I’m set. Thanks for the compliments bro. I’m sure you’ll be getting there yourself too.

Well what if I said the most obvious sign of steroid use early on is guys with small calves and big legs?

I’m sure you’d have a problem with that. I just don’t like blanket statements when there could be other factors, such as genetics.

You could make that statement all you want, but anyone in this game longer than two weeks would know that wasn’t true. Besides, my calves aren’t that damn small, they just don’t stand out compared to the rest of me.

Small calves don’t prevent heavy squat work. They also don’t mean the person has weak calves, especially if they have very high insertion.

However, again I find it very strange that anyone could build huge upper arms without the forearms coming along for the ride at least to some degree.

One person I noticed this on who does not compete anymore (he just quit for no reason) was Capriese Murray. This guy’s proportions were insane…but his forearms didn’t match which is fucking weird considering the size of the rest of him.

Again, this is my opinion. You are entitled to disagree but comparing it to calves is a little off. While both muscle groups could vary greatly depending on personal genetics, the forearms are needed to build big upper arms because of the grip. Big calves are not needed to squat mega-poundages.

I am only posting this one because I think this off season pic is badass (he is closer to his heavier 250lbs off season weight here) and also because I am not hating on the guy, simply pointing out what stood out to me.

Big arms much? lol

That’s Capriese Murray. That is how he looks off season…one more reason I see little need to diet down to contest levels unless I plan to make a career of it. People look more impressive in the off season assuming they aren’t obese.
