im back guys completely forgot about this i havent had the time recently with school exams etc and recently gaining a part time job , ive basically being doing a bro split for a couple of weeks with 5x5 squat, bench and deadlift on respective days, but yesterday my old coach asked if i fancied competing again in january ( olympic weightlifting) which i agreed so ill be focusing on the oly lifts with lots of squats and pulls occasional bench press but im hoping for 90/120-125 in january

got a new pb squat clean of 130kg at 79kg bw but jerk has let me down from not training it so from now till january hitting jerks hard, this week was mainly forms of powers both power clean and power snatch just to reintroduce myself to the movements nothing more than 75kg power snatch for 5x2 and power clean push press at 100kg

its getting worse with exam revision and coursework deadlines so thats why im so inconsitent posting although ive been able to get 4 solid sessions in 5kg increase on most lifts except power snatch which was 2kg upto 120kg jerk btn, lots of pulls and romanian deadlifts upto 6x6 at 160kg and a 20rep squat with 105kg, other than that i just had a party last night but didnt really drink much whats you guys opinion on alcohol and training because i seen a few people who train drinking and they were really drunk i wonder if that affects their training at all ?

well im back after a time away from this as i had so much work to do for school applying to uni etc, ive got all my offers back which is good, i think im gonna log weekly or something so i stay accountable im on my 2nd cycle of 531 1st week i hit 11 reps at 65kg strict OHP , 13reps deadlift at 180kg 11 reps 95kg bench and 12 reps 125kg squat im basically gonna stick to 531 for at least 6 months i love the structure im currently doing big but boring except 5x10s bench on OHP day and vice versa feels better personally, using chins on OHP day also and rows on bench day, lots of band pullaparts and rear raises. I’m also incorporating joker sets recently ive done 210kg deadlift for a triple after 13 reps at 180kg, 120kg paused bench for a single, 85kg strict press for 2, 170kg squat for a single im hoping to get videos real soon as my stupid blackberry phone wont load videos on to the internet for some strange reason so im hoping i can load them for my brothers phone

Following this i got asked to film with my friend for national lottery for his story losing over 7 stone (he was 17 stone at 11) i was basically an example doing countless curls held for literally minutes haha got a nice pump though, following this 15 minutes on the bike and an ab circuit almost as if he was coaching me for the camera, it was a nice end to a dissapointing session.

overall not a bad day 125kg most ive benched in awhile, my back was in some pain today rest and squat on friday i think just for the required reps possibly and also i was inquiring about buying a slingshot to help my bench anyone have any experience with it ? and how would i incorporate it into 531?

back was in some considerable pain today so did the required rep and that was it, starting deload next week that will help and ive decided to purchase the slingshot to aid bench press progression.

today-am- spoto press 6x4 100kg (back cramps up keeping tight due to tweak in lower back but i cant help but get in the gym and do something) supersetted with band pullaparts
regular bench 110kg for a stupidly easy single, unracked 140kg just to feel it in my hands since thats what i want to be benching in a few months
incline dumbell press 30kg 5x12 supersetted with facepulls 5x12 50kg

havent posted in awhile because when ive tried the last few times my posts havent come up , fast forward to today i had to do a 12 minute cooper run for a level pe and within 2 minutes of starting my spinal erectors pumped up and got really really tight to the point where i could barely stand straight it makes no sense although ive had this problem the last few times ive ran any ideas what it could be ?
