16 Years Old & Skinny...Help

Crunches, situps, they all suck.

Lie down on your back, put your chin to your chest (using neck muscles). Put your hands under your butt. Lift your feet off the ground 6 inches, keep your knees straight but not locked.

  1. You can hold this position for a long time.
  2. Raise both feet together and lower back to 6", do not hit the ground.
  3. Alternate raising feet (flutter kicks)
  4. Spread your legs (abduction) and then touch your feet back together (adduction)
  5. Do a V-sit. Point your heels straight up and your fingers straight up. They should meet somewhere above your body.
  6. Rotate your trunk to the left and right (windshield wipers)

-As long as you maintain this position and DO NOT let your feet touch the ground (maintain 6 inches), you will be golden.

Other ideas:
-Buy an ab-wheel for $5. A worthy investment for a handy, mobile tool.
-Buy ankle weights for maybe $10. 5 pounders are heavy enough. Put them around your ankles for the aforementioned exercises if desired. If you dont have them, wear winter boots for extra weight or use resistance bands. Be creative!

You can also hand from a tree limb (utilizing your upper body as well) and do knee or leg lifts from that position.

Well… I’m back… from my Vacation and apprantly i took weight training class and i need a workout plan for the whole week… But i don’t want to overtrain… what should i do

at this point with all the questions coming in… you need to invest in a well written book. use that as a reference whenever you have questions, then come back to this thread if your still having problems… a good book that covers all the basics would be “the new rules of lifting” by Lou Schuler. I read it and thought it gave all the basic information and was easy to understand. it even has plans for you in the back of the book and combines planes so you will be good to go for about 4-6 months.

and no i wasnt paid to post that ha i read it over and it sounds like I’m a vendor i just thought it was good to me when i was beginning everything

This thread is so laughable… that it isn’t even funny.
