For example, Neaderthal were probably smarter AND stronger than cro-magnon. But their women didn’t have as many babies, and so were snuffed out (or absorbed, opinions differ).
The welfare queen at the trailer park is far more evolutionarily fit than the doctor who has 1 child.
(For the record, I have 6 daughters, and one on the way. I plan on having 8 kids, in two batches of 4.)
