This is going to put a bigger hole in the economy of America than Ronny Reagan did . There are 3.5 million truck drivers in America
So advances in technology have been okay until now, but any further advances will hurt the economy?
why is everything a controversy ? Technology is coming , there is no stopping it, it could be dooms day for humans

What are you going to do when there are vast pockets of humans that do not make a living and are just sucking your (if you are employed) resources dry. When these trucking jobs go and they will , we will have 3.5 million truck drivers out of work and industry by industry and automated . It is the future

What have workers displaced by technology done forever? It is always the future, and has always turned out just fine. Back to my original question, why will this be different?

I think the point you are not considering is technology is growing faster and faster , they say information doubles on a daily basis, 50 years ago it took years to double

What about 50 years before that, 100 before that, and 1,000 before that?

That’s already happening. Truckers are earning an income, if their current profession is no longer available to them they’ll find a new profession. They’ve a desire to work and support themselves. That don’t exist with people that just want to get one over on the system.

There is no getting over on people trying to get over on something . This is where people become obsolete , there is no need for as many people . The future is people living with no means of support , Detroit , Chicago, Flint ,Youngstown are all casualties of Ronny Reagan , 3.5 million unemployed people will be 3,5 million lazy people that you are tired of living off your tax dollars . It is the future ,

We have vast pockets of people that will vote for their own self disinterest . , that is what I call a really good start

So this is it? This is where we finally sail right over Earth’s edge, huh? It’s been nice knowing you folks, but we are about to become obsolete. I, Robot, have mercy on us.
