For those of you who’d like a small, cheap scale to measure out portions of food 1.1 pounds or less, you might want to use a jeweler’s scale something like this. It measures in ounces and grams with a high degree of precision.
I use a kitchen scale, but recently purchased something similar to the one above to dose fertilizer in a planted aquarium. You can’t beat the price.
The only thing you need to know is that a jeweler’s scale isn’t large. It’s about the size of the palm of your hand. It would fit nicely into a shirt pocket.
