100m World Record

what does it mean when you have like…your start off in running is bad…but as you keep running you just get a lot faster and reach your top speed about 50-60m in the race?
I guess it means you break the record…

sorry about that…Gatlin vs. Powell is on June 11th in Gateshead, not the 21st…

after reading Game of Shadows…I don’t think there is anyway he did this drug free…however it is impressive none the less. His coach is the same one who sent in the syringe of THG, “the Clear” to the USADA.

Awesome, superhuman, frikin acceleration…?

Johnson ran 9.79

Reported earlier, Gatlins time was actually a 9.766. They forgot to round the time up to 9.77, so they took his world record away. He only tied it.

That sets up a nice match against Powell in the coming months in England.

Actually found a clip of it and surprisingly his run looks a lot like his run in Osaka, with the hunched start and all. I guess it’s hard to criticize the fastest man in history though!

Wonder what his squat is?
With or without a suit?

They forgot to round.

What a let down for Gatlin- a procedural mistake loses the record.

If they never made the error, he wouldn’t have had the record in the first place.

Ben Johnson was still faster than him, it’s too bad ben didn’t run through the finish line at Seoul.

Thats what I meant, that it sucks that he got all of the hype and excitement and then it turns out he didn’t get it. Not that it was stolen or anything like that.
