10 Miles Back Again

And longevity, I’d suggest. No-ones buying “How to live forever” by Dave Hoff.

@Frank_C I’m sure its effective but no thanks. I just don’t care enough about biceps at the minute to do them.

I’ll gladly take your rusty weights.

I hit my arms once a week with one exercise. It seems to be enough for me. One set of those curls hurts, provides a good pump, and my arms aren’t shrinking.

Chin ups! That’s where it’s at.

I’ll wager you’ve seen this, but thought it a good addition to this conversation. Wendler mapped out a fantastic compass imo.

I am a fan of that one, and not at all because I can probably max all the strength and power tests if given a few weeks to prepare =)

Not so much the conditioning. That would take me at least a month, because I never run.

I especially like the part where he jokes that Powerlifters shouldn’t be the standard for measuring athleticism, lol.

Wendler is the best.

Yeah they seem like goals that most can achieve with some dedicated training. It looks a little biased toward lighter people, but you’ve got to be well trained and strong to hit a bodyweight press.

I think that is why it makes sense to look at several components. As mentioned before, a super skinny kid might hit 20 pullups. But would never be able to press even half his BW.

And even though I hate to look at the cardio, I have to admit that makes sense as well.

Agreed. And the options are nice. A bigger or injured person may not be able to run a mile, but could still be a beast at pushing the prowler.

Yeah wasn’t it Konstantinov that banged a friggin set of 50 pull-ups? And Thor did 8 weighing 200 kgs if I recall right

This video is good on the topic of big guys doing pull ups.

@caesium32 @aldebaran @Cyrrex @TX_iron @ChickenLittle so tl:dr is: dagill, you suck, get back to work, agreed?

@Frank_C that will probably be about what indo when I get back in a gym, yes. Some kind of pumpy bicep work to finish off pull day.

Nobody said anything about you sucking. We are just offering suggestions for motivation.

Need to check myself a bit here, I am not at all sure I could do a 40 inch box jump now that I actually take the time to measure that out. Thinking probably not, in fact. Less certain about the broad jump as well, but think I could get close to that with some practice.

You have now put yourself in a corner my friend, not even Bob can help you out here.

I’ll give you even more time than the fortnight you said you needed to check all the box’es.

The last week of June from the June 22’nd to June 28’th you must perform all the tests and do it as top of the class… you just said you could do with little to no training.

And before you begin, I can’t pass a single of those tests.

I don’t think Dagill sucks. It’s probably like his squat: he has potential/strength he has not displayed or trained that is all.

@Cyrrex that would be very impressive.

I like how this thread has suddenly turned into a discussion about whether we think Dagill sucks or not.

For the record, he totally sucks.

(just kidding, my first intro to the guy was seeing his insane high rep squat attempts, and none of that sucked)
