I admire your discipline of eating chicken breasts 5 days a week.
I find oats with protein way too sweet. I also like my oatmeal savory, topped with boiled eggs.

Iāve seen an example of savoury oats with pancetta and porcini that sounds delicious, but Iāve yet to try it.
I donāt. I usually eat the same meal up to 6 days in a row, but itās definitely not always chicken breast. Luckily I usually enjoy my cooking pretty well, however sometimes I fuck it up. Nothing worse than knowing youāve got to eat the same crap meal for 4 more days.
Had to google this one and it definitely looks good. Iāve been watching UK cooking shows lately in Netflix and you guys seem to have a very diverse food culture.
Still admirable man, I usually get sick of it by the 3rd day.
Our own food culture is fairly tedious, but also we also have a lot of different cultures here (colonialism being what it is). Both play a part.
Todayās lunch:
That looks very appetizing. How much carbs is on that?
Close to 0 Iād imagine, thereās no deliberate carbs in there.
Myfitnesspal says 7g, but the veggie portions are estimated very vaguely so it wonāt be too accurate. Thereās probably a few sources in the sauce as well that I didnāt log
But Thai curry tho - Bangkok Duck.
I made a Thai duck tamarind curry once from a cook book I can no longer find. It was genuinely the best curry Iāve ever had. Genuinely gutted I couldnāt find the recipe again. Iāve even rebought the book I thought it was in, hoping to find it, with no joy.
Not sure if Iāve tried thai curry exactly but damn, sounds good. All this food talk makes me hungry, dang!
So yesterday was a big fat nope. Fallen to plague season so nutrition will be whatever I can get down and keep down, training will mostly involve staying upright
That sucks man. A deload week then? Get well soon!
Thanks man, I fully intend to.
Remind me not to cross the pond during this time of yearā¦
We like to go 1600s old school here.
Iām due to start the closest thing to a peak Iāll ever do and Iām down and out. Work and a virus have eliminated my time and willpower this week. Iām eyeballing a Saturday workout and Iām not anticipating great things.
Hope youāre on the mend by the time you read this.
Work for today:
Powerclean and press: 4-4-5-5-5 @60kg
Deadlift: 3 x 3 @ 135kg
Seated press: worked up to 55kg x 6
Then: 2 big drop sets, finished off with Y-raises.
Lateral raises on a 45 degree bench: some
Wendler Rows: some
Cable Chest fly supersets: lots, different heights
Walking lunges 5 x 10 @ 25kg
Notes:
Apologies in advance for using this log as a program sounding board, but have you thought of rerunning Mass Made Simple? Admittedly Iām asking party selfishly, because itās always been something I was interested in but never found a good place for it in my own training.
I hadnāt, but Iām not sure exactly why not. It seems like a really good idea. Especially as Iāve always half wanted to do a run through of the T-nation version which includes 531. Thatās definitely on the cards.
Thanks man.
I just looked this up and thatās a lot of moving parts there. Iām pretty sure I am not smart enough to run that.
I just never got it he really meant 20 sets of 15 because if so⦠geez
