10 Miles Back Again

Too many letter O’s in that title.

But I wish you the best anyways. :+1:

Work for today:

Squat:
Worked up to 5 x 80kg

Paused squat:
3 x 5 @ 60kg

Bench:
Worked up to 5 x 72.5kg

3 x 10 @ 50kg

Notes:

  • Feel a bit weird driving to the gym and only doing about 20mins of lifting, but I don’t think i need more volume right now. Start too light, progress too slow and all that. Will increase supplemental sets to 5 for the next cycle, then start adding some assistance once i’m used to the volume
  • @T3hPwnisher i like your thinking, it’s definitely better than my idea.
  • @SkyzykS thank you. Nice to see you back in here. Always open to suggestions.

Work for today:

2.5 hours projecting a very physical boulder. Worked out a method that allows me to do the difficult move with total control, now i just need the endurance to string together all 11 very droppable moves. And some new skin, because my skin is gone. Actually, i feel totally wrecked.

Edit: i also did some weighted pull ups after

Work for today:

3 hours bouldering

Flashed through all the easy stuff on the Comp wall, then a few goes on my project and a whole lot of getting frustrated at the difficult stuff.

Did this again. Probably easier, definitely quicker.

This log is just full of random words that don’t mean anything. Are you an AI?

If i was AI, wouldn’t i just copy your workouts and add 5kg?

Nah even AI recognises how crap his workout design is.

Work for today:

3 hours hard bouldering and moonboarding.

Notes:

  • Lots of try hard today, but that could just be me making everything difficult. I’m definitely manstruating today.

Excellent.

Do I even want to know what moonboarding is? I am too polite to make any jokes about what I think it could be.

Would you like the real answer or something more interesting?

The real answer is the Moonboard is a standardised 45 degree wall that lights up so everyone around the world can climb the same problems. This is a video of one of the problems we were trying earlier, but done by someone good:

It could also be the kind of weird S and M fetish that only normally features in your search history.

Ah, I see. Looks easy.

It does, doesn’t it? I wish it was as easy as it looks.

Work for today:

Squat (C2W1):
5 x 75kg

Paused squat:
3 x 5 @ 60kg

Bench (C2W1):
5 x 5 @ 70kg

Notes:

  • Autoregulation is going to be super important for a while, as schedules and recovery seem really variable. That means i’m going to have to make more notes on what point i’m at in various training cycles, so i don’t get lost. I think i have enough of a handle of 531 that i don’t need massive structure.

Work for today:

Squat (C2W2):
5 x 82.5kg

Paused squat:
3 x 5 @ 65kg

Bench (C2W2):
5 x 5 @ 72.5kg

Notes:

  • Seem to be adjusting to these sessions, starting to feel very low volume. Will finish the cycles and adjust accordingly.
  • Fingers feel super tweaky so trying to rest them this week.

I recommend less fingering

Fingers feel better but still not right so tried to avoid anything too finger intensive, just like @Cyrrex told me

5 x 87.5kg

Paused squat:
3 x 5 @ 70kg

Bench (C2W3):
5 x 5 @ 75kg

Notes:

  • Top sets all felt super wonky today, very misgrooved on almost every rep.
  • Starting to feel low volume. Will have a think what template i want to use for the next cycle.
