It’s perfect for me, right on the edge of what I can do. It’s one of those tools where you can immediately feel “this is what was missing from my training” in a way that I haven’t with other loaded carries. 10/10, would recommend.

- Weights moved pretty comfortably today apart from the JM press, because I’d bumped the weights up again.
- Realised as I was doing my last warm up on Bench that I’d switched back to my pre-Covid grip width without realising. Felt much stronger and more stable. Fuck this wide grip stuff.

My covid lockdown grip also widened out from a result of all the floor presses, because it makes way easier to get into position. Trying to correct it a little, but will try to still use it more than I used to, as it works better on inclines.
Mine was a conscious effort to move to a more “normal” grip width. I naturally use a very narrow grip so I figured I could use the opportunity to reset to what the cool kids do. Turns out, I’m not one of the cool kids and I’m noticeably stronger with a pretty narrow grip.
By definition of everyone else using wide grip, those are just the normal kids. We are the cool kids. Also, wide grip bench is the sumo deadlift of benching.
So it turns out I’m awesome and that I no longer have an excuse for my piss weak benching then?
Yeah, and you can just hop into other people’s logs and make fun of them over their cheaty wide grip inferiority.
