10 Miles Back Again

Being good at running is almost the same as being good at waterboarding yourself.

I really think the point is just to improve your cardiovascular health and general well being. Who cares how you get there and how fast you are when doing it.

Being good at swimming is literally being good at water boarding yourself :joy:

Running is more akin to the interrogator banging you against the wall

What does the interrogator look like? Because I might be ok with that.

Agreed.

Its not even a fat loss thing for me, because eating less is infinitely easier to me than running.

Mean app lady :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Banging against wall more accurately resembles joint pounding

So much talk about pounding things, is this the revival of SAMA?

I keep hearing reference about some SAMA thread. Considering the crazy threads I’ve seen, things must really have gotten out of control for ppl to keep referencing it

As I understand it, threats of law suits were involved when infedility was found by other halves. Before my time though.

T-ransformation week 9: 196.2lbs, -3.4lbs lost, that the kind of thing you were looking for @caesium32 ?Diet was back where it should be, felt good to hit the ā€œI’ve been compliantā€ button on CarbonDiet again, on a fairly tough week. Even found myself ā€œcheatingā€ by not using all my carbs allowance most days.

Training wise: 2 lifting sessions, 1 run, all daily work and a few extra bits done. Mostly crammed into the first part of the week when I knew time and recovery would allow. I anticipate another difficult week this week so the aim will be to be able to press the ā€œcompliantā€ button at the end of the week and train when I can. Right, time to go meal plan some food that won’t make me sad.

Nice job, beats me by a nice margin. I’ll have to knuckle down next week so you don’t beat me.

I’m cheating man, I’m not good at slow and steady like you are.

Work for today:

Morningstar C1W3D3:

Jumps: 10

Snatch Grip High Pull: 3 x 3 @ 60kg

Squat: 10 x 5 @ 90kg

Press:
2-2-3-3 @ 60kg

Pull ups:
6-5-4-3-2

Dips:
6-5-4-3-2

Swings:
5 x 15 @ 24kg

Notes:

  • Thats that cycle done. Hated every second of it today, to be honest. Debating switching to another template, but I think its probably just a temporary thing.
  • Mixed daily work in as assistance between sets. Felt pretty easy, to be honest. Somethings working.
  • Just got the call this morning that little man will be self isolating for a week, so it becomes even less likely I’ll get a full weeks training in. Means diet needs to be 100%

This works so perfectly as assistance. Good job killing two birds with one stone.

That sounds like an ouchie for the shoulder.

@kdjohn hard work not feeling like I should add ā€œextraā€ to these sessions and remembering that my daily work is my assistance. Thats it, thats all I need. Especially in a severe calorie deficit.

@Koestrizer looks a lot like a typo. Should be a high pull there.
