Very true!
@dagill2, maybe refer to @T3hPwnisher and @Frank_C for suggestions
Idk f your British tastes can be trusted :wink:

@guineapig absolutely not, no. I’ve softened up a lot since last time I pushed squats hard.

@ChickenLittle thanks chicken

@anna_5588 to be fair, the only cakes I ever eat are the ones my babies bake me for birthdays and fathers days and (luckily), they’re pretty amazing. They’re pretty much chocolate on chocolate with chocolate which is exactly how I like it, although I did have one about a decade ago that was chocolate with apricot jam in it that was about as close to perfection as I can think. Sadly, never quite replicated it.

Wait
 aren’t your kids very young

2 and 4. So when I say they bake them, my SO baked them, with their help. Little mans actually pretty good at helping.

Chocolate with fruit preserves is a very underrated combo

Berries and chocolate is probably my favourite ever food combo.

Are we looking at a future master chef?:wink:

I like to think so, but his palette might be a bit limited at the minute.

It’s up to the younger generation to change the worlds perspective of British food :joy::joy:

It would be cool to play around with all the different types of chocolate.

I could see a very dark chocolate cake with milk and blonde chocolate ganache or mousse fillings frosted with a ruby chocolate buttercream, topped with white chocolate bark and chocolate pearls for texture

I feel like you’re overthinking this. Chocolate doesn’t need to be that complicated.

are you surprised??

That attitude is precisely why British food continues to be the laughingstock of the culinary world :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Well, only if they put that chocolate as a topping for a can of beans or something. Which would be pretty on point.

@anna_5588 I think you’d be amazed how little the British care about how the rest of the world sees them. See also: Brexit. Boris Johnson etc.

If we were a D and D character we’d have penalties for self awareness.

@Cyrrex what have you got against tinned beans my man? Did Mr Heinz do something to you as a child or something?

I actually really like beans quite a lot. But somehow they are suitable for Brit food jokes. Perfect topping on your bean, potato salad, tuna and mushed peas pizza pie.

I’m just going to leave this here.
