This was absolutely the word I was thinking of, because it seems to be a big part of your thinking. To my mind, that would be the difference between discipline and motivation. Motivation burns out and needs to be refreshed. Discipline doesn’t.

I don’t ever brush my hair. But that is because I don’t have any. I find that, on the other hand, I DO have to remind my self to brush my teeth in pandemic conditions.

I’ve genuinely started worrying how I’d cope with pandemic quarantine. I’m starting to think I’ve missed out on an experience here.

The only difference for me is that little man hadn’t been going to nursery, I can’t bench and my hair is unmanageable.

I am Gen X, though, so we were basically built for surviving pandemics. I mean, you want me to spend time alone and play way too many video games? I have been training for this all my life.

I’ll have you know I could bench 4 whole plates. 2 on each side.

I don’t know what “Gen” I am but not being around people sounds awesome.

Hah, thx. Visualize those clever zingers. Now bottle them up and send them across to that parallel universe that scientists recently discovered where presumably everything is the exact opposite. That’s what I do for a living. Whatever the opposite of clever zingers is.

Conditioning:
EMOM (10mins):
5 kb snatches each hand
5 kb push ups each hand

Main giant set (3 rounds):
8 x pull ups
8 x push press (60kg)
3 x inch worm *

Supplemental giant set (4 rounds each arm):
12 x db row (30kg)
8 x db press (20kg)
Suitcase carry - there and back

Assistance giant set (3 rounds):
15 x lateral raises
20 x band pull aparts
12 x “axle” curl

Notes:

  • Conditioning was too easy again. Need to up my game there.

Edit:
Should have noted the inchworm is just from hands in press up position to a foot or two above my head and back. Like a more controlled roll out.
