I think there should be a rule that says no greatest hits. An Album is something special, the artist chose the particular tracks in that order. A good album takes you on a journey.[/quote]

I hope you’re not including live albums as almost all of them fall under greatest hits. Anyone can do a great studio album but it takes a real musician to pull it off live.

Irish Tour"74", Waiting For Columbus, Made In Japan, and Europe"72"(A Grateful Dead album not yet mentioned but should have been) are all greatest hits and they WILL take you on a journey.

No Particular order, some others that haven’t been mentioned.

Chris Whitely- Dirt Floor

Jeff Beck- Blow by Blow

Derek and the Dominos- The Layla Sessions

Derek Trucks Band- Songlines

Geddy Lee- My Favorite Headache (for the Rush Haters)

Warren Haynes-Live at Bonaroo

Little Feat- Time Loves a Hero

Phil Manzanera- Diamond Head

Porcupine Tree- Stupid dream

Robin Trower- Bridge of sighs

So many it’s hard to stop at 10.
