1 in 20 Kids Use or Have Used Steroids?

Didn’t read the article but does the survey include girls and boys? If so then I doubt the 1:20… If its guys only then I but it.

Information like this almost makes me feel guilty for being as strong as I am without drugs

Im in a high school of 600 kids and I’m 99.9% that no one here uses.

From what I’ve seen walking to schools in skinny jeans and Beiber hairdos, I doubt there is even the desire for knowledge of steroids as there used to be even in the 80’s. These studies today that seem to be catching the eye of the media are SURVEYS.

Just a tip…surveys don’t mean much. They used surveys to determine the average size of men’s penises for years until the Condom companies started actually measuring people during Spring Break. There was a slight difference.

I am also not sure why this matters much…seeing as apparently there were no adverse effects to all of this use.

You shouldn’t even be lifting weights, it’s bad for you!

Why are you 99.9% sure that no one uses? Is it cause your football team sucks?

I knew several kids that juiced in high school, and they didn’t play any sports past pony league baseball. They also snorted coke, smoked fry, popped x-o’s and did all sorts of other shit.

The school I went to also had a huge football program, and 4 kids from what would’ve been my graduating class (I dropped out) went on to the NFL.

I’d bet that the 1:20 ratio is fairly accurate.

I knew kids who juiced in high school also…but guys actually wanted to look swole then. I literally get most of my male patients in that age range who literally seem to despise the idea of weight lifting.

I have honestly never seen this before as much. That is why I don’t believe these numbers at all.

The average guy getting ass when I was in high school looked like a jock.

Now, the average guy getting ass in high school looks like one of the chicks.

^^^ I see what you’re saying (and didn’t read the article), but we only see the kids that look all homo’d out when we’re out. Maybe if we were actually inside the school(s) we’d get a bigger sample and see a larger “variety”.

My parents were teachers and my dad a vice principal at a very well known high school in Houston. I do not see all of this steroid use. I see the same skinny kids on football teams now. the only time I see swole teens is in the more urban neighborhoods…and it isn’t because of steroids. It is because mom and dad are built like Silverbacks.

Nah, girls still want the strong guys same as ever. Those guys are rare, but that, too, is same as ever. Not sure young girls want HYOOGE, but that’s appropriate given young men’s limited capacity to achieve it.

Don’t know what to tell ya, man. Pop culture obviously runs childrens minds, and the skinny jeans/bad hsir/worse tattoo look dominates, but I’ve seen some pretty stocky teens of all colors out there. Most of 'em dress like goobers though.

Silverbacks?

I think it is slowly changing back. I treat a lot of high school kids. I have noticed way more of the guys asking me lately about weight lifting and eating. For a few years there, it was like even leaving the house to go outside was being discouraged by parents so much that none of the guys wanted to get swole.

I knew that wimpy crap wouldn’t last forever, but when someone claims that this many kids are using steroids, I have to cry foul. There are still too many kids who think the girls don’t like big muscles because they heard Jessica scream, “eeeew!” when looking at a picture of Phil Heath.

I saw a lady today at a restaurant who looked like one. I told her I wanted a banana nut muffin.

I cut white peoples hands off and use the skin as a glove for when i commit crimes…

We cannot get rid of our finger prints but we can cover them up.
