Yall are stupid if you think TCU should go over Texas, plain and simple. Our defense showed up, and the play of that defensive lineman changed the game. Because of him, they could drop back as many into coverage as they wanted and put serious pressure on Colt. Without him, Nebraska would’ve fallen as Mack and Colt would’ve eventually found the holes in the defensive schemes.
Not a big football fan, but I live in Austin and watched the game… by far the worst football game I’ve ever seen. UT should not be allowed in the title game after that game… and if the title game was next week then I would sell all my possessions and bet every cent I own on Alabama.
YAY! say what say what
I gotta admit, I thought Florida would win convincingly, but I am glad to see Tebow cry his ass off like he did. I thought he needed to be brought back down to planet Earth.
If Texas doesn’t deserve to go after their performance against (ranked) Nebraska, why should Alabama go after their performance against (unranked) Auburn last week?

Texas managed only 202 total yards and averaged .5 yards per rush. There was no point in that entire game where they looked like a team that should be ranked number 3 in the nation. For a team that is hailed as having a prolific offense, they simply looked pathetic.
If they thought Suh was a lot to handle, they are going to be in for a rude awakening if they got to go against 'Bama. Personally, I want the championship game to be entertaining, thus I think Texas has no business being on the field.

Because this week they went in and manhandled Florida. Alabama Auburn is something that transcends the rankings. It’s one of those rivalry games that teams wait all year to play and anything can happen. Bama pulled that one out and redeemd themselves by thrashing a Florida team that hasn’t lost in over 12 months. There isn’t a college football team in the nation right now that can beat Bama.
Yall are downplaying our defense’s performance and Suh’s performance. He singlehandedly played better than any defensive lineman I’ve ever seen, at least in college football. But it doesn’t matter anyway, we’ll see how the polls wind up.

You played against one of the worst offenses in all of college football (80th out of 120 teams) and you barely slipped by them on the last play of the game, what performance are you talking about?

Let us see what the voters think.

Yes, we played one of the worst offenses in the league, and allowed four fields goals (three which were set up for them as soon as the drive began… the final one came from a legit drive), five first downs (two in the second half), just a bit over 100 yards of TOTAL offense, and three turnovers. Our defense didn’t look good at all. /sarcasm
The key for Nebraska was their defense. They have one of the best D-lines in college football, and no… we won’t see that against Alabama. Nebraska were rushing three and putting eight into coverage… McCoy STILL didn’t have any time to throw, and even if he did, there was hardly ever anyone open. I was VERY impressed with that defense.
Alabama looked GREAT against the Gators. Texas found a way to win against something of a rival in a CHAMPIONSHIP game. I think the only team right now that can beat Texas is Alabama, but the only team that can beat Alabama is Texas.
Hook 'Em!
Yes…UT played like ass…you can cry and complain that they don’t deserve to be in title game…but they will be. You can argue all you want that Bama will smash them…and that’s fine. But arguing that they don’t “deserve” title shot is very flawed. Especially with all of the close calls Bama has had this year against lesser teams themselves. Every game is different…you all should know this by now.
But then again…this another of the thousand examples of why college football needs a playoff system…badly. And if Texas doesn’t deserve title shot, who does?

So,with you not being a big football fan…how many games have you seen to make your judgment and opinion worth anything?

He is right. UT’s defense played fine…give credit where it’s due. Defense is what kept us in the game…“slipping” by Nebraska was definitely not their blame. The offense…yeah, they were circle-jerking the whole game.
a win is a win regardless… it could be by 1 point or 50 points it makes no difference

This is true, but you also have to consider the fact that most voters, and the computer system in college football, take into account many more factors than just the W.
I can’t say that Texas does not deserve a shot, they are ranked #2 and didn’t lose, I just think that there performance was far from dominant. I just hope they can pull it together in the next month and give us a very entertaining BCS championship game.
