Not a dumbass comment. I agree that there’s no real point in discussing this, though for slightly different reasons.
A natty 1000lb raw squat in comp would be a mind-blowing accomplishment. But how are you going to be able to tell if its natty or not? By drug-testing?
Because we all know drug-testing is proof a lifter is lifetime drug-free.
Even if it actually is done natty, people are going to accuse the lifter of being on drugs anyway, no matter how much evidence is provided to the contrary.
EDIT: I could see it being done in the future, though, if the SPF changes their definition of legal squatting to 1/4 squatting, which I can almost conceivably see them doing. That is, if there are any lifters in the SPF that are drug-free lol.

Great, you see no point in discussing it (we’ll ignore that you then went and discussed it anyways). Don’t click into the thread anymore.
If you find a thread useless then don’t follow it. Posting into that thread is beyond pointless, it’s actually counter-productive to your goal of killing that thread you consider to be useless. Surprisingly, the fact that one competed in a meet doesn’t change this reality either.
I think this thread was great. I can’t wait until someone squats 1k raw, and I actually hadn’t seen some of these insane Ray Williams squats before. So I also care.
It is not possible for most people to do it. It is possible however that it will be possible for someone to do it. They just need ridiculously good genetics good training

this made me laugh, so true, classic t nation ha ha
It’s definitely going to happen, me boring more of an optimistic person I think if you bust your ass and block out everything not related to lifting, eating, and sleeping then you can put up close to any weight you want. I want to be incredibly strong even though my numbers are the lowest they’ve been in 2 years but I’m still putting in work.
