The joke is only funny when you misspell your words. So for the sake of comedy, spell something incorrectly.

Me likes yer post.

This is a legitimate gripe. Don’t you think a bunch of people running around on this site should be concerned about their mental well being as well as physical? Just because we are in the text message age here, there is no reason to simply abandon good grammar because it’s easy.
Take some pride in your language. And on a related note, people fuck up their, there, and they’re constantly too.
On second thought, I’ve come to realize the world is full of idiots, dolts, dipshits, retards, dunces, dunderheads, douches, assholes, bastards, bitches, and just plain stupid people. I just deal with it.
im guilty of posting while passively doing other things at work, so sometimes i make unintentional spelling errors/grammer mistakes without noticing. its internet forums, not the magna carta, its meant to be informal/colloquial
Spelling is for idyuts

FYP. If you’re going to go, go all out
your so we Todd did sofa king we todd did.
I can see people not caring about spelling too, but when you typically say what you’re going to write…you think you’d say “you are (you’re)” instead of your. – “Your so gay”… you know its wrong; fix it!
I can’t believe people make that mistake. I do every mistake BUT that one. What the fuck guys
Getting your/you’re mixed up is NOT A TYPO! And pointing out that it’s wrong doesn’t make anyone a grammar nazi.
Misspelling or not knowing the meaning of long, esoteric words is OK…but getting your/you’re mixed up means you are just not that smart.

This one is one of the most common ones and it bothers me so fucking much. Many people also seem to think that to and too are the same.
I will be a grammar Nazi all day, I don’t mind. Last week I pulled my grad student English teacher aside to tell him he wrote the wrong form of principle on the whiteboard (principal). I am not perfect, I make mistakes in my writing. Someone here will probably point out a mistake in this post, but damn it, at least I WRITE the RIGHT form of words.
Why are there grammar?
Kudos to the OP for trying to improve the literacy of the people here!
Now, how can we improve the innumeracy?

I hear ya, and while loose v. lose drives me up a wall, I try not to bitch because I do get lazy with my your and you’re on here.
I think I’m batting like 85-90% with my there’s though.
And I will own up to douche, asshole, and sometimes bitch, but only when I’m really drunk and she is really hot.

thread interests me now.
he’s not bitching about spelling, he’s bitching about people that apparently don’t know the difference between “you’re” and “your”. it’s unlikely any offender mispelled one for the other - they simply don’t know. and yes, it’s annoying because it’s so common - but then again, so are stupid people.
