Hernan Cortes was, by any metric, anywhere, at any time, an all around bad-ass.

Hitler wouldve owned him.

They probably would have been allies. You and optheta he would have gassed.

This thread is about to get dumb, but you have to put them on the same technological field. That being the case, Hitler got owned when he overstretched his reach, spread himself too thin, and invaded an unfriendly land with an unfriendly environment.

Cortes, on the other hand, took a handful of men and defeated a far, far more powerful and numerous enemy on their own very unfriendly land and environment, completely cut off from his homeland and supply chain, with only himself to rely upon.

So no, dumb scenario starting thread derailing semi-pro wrestler who promised never to post on T-Nation again guy, Hitler would not have “owned” Cortes.

Im still waiting on someone to post here so they can get my email address. Thats why i havent gone yet. Didnt realize i needed your approval for anything.

Cool insults though…sure ive never done that to you.

Nickname from when I wrestled at university. One of the first times I walked into the locker room, somebody remarked that I had hair like Joe and muscles like Monty (two other past/present members of the team) and thus Jonty was born. Stuck hard for a number of years. There were people on my own team who didn’t know my real name, and I was even called Jonty by some opposing coaches. Not sure why I added “the”

Didn’t you start on here under another profile called Conquistador or something?

Baywatch…It’s a stupid show but the character name always popped into my head in a chat room and forums.

One of my favorite poets happens to be T. S. Eliot. One of his most profound works is “The Lovesong of J. Alfred Prufrock”.

I used that handle for a little while when I was just beginning to research steroids. I actually had a different handle way way back when, then finally settled on Cortes. I may be misremembering my reasoning for changing my handle, too. It was a long time ago. My actual post count should be probably closer to 8000 at this point.

I liked your handle the minute I saw it. I would have called myself The Palm at the End of the Mind, after a contemporary master poet, but that’s just too bloody long.

I like Spider-Man, and my favorite number is 22. I’ll also be 22 here in the next few months, so it’ll be more appropriate for a year.

I like chicken.

I was on a Battlestar Galatica kick.

I appreciate the compliment. Wallace Stevens, huh? I will have to revisit his work.
