So glad that other people are playing Mount & Blade. One of the most simple, yet most fun and realistic games I’ve ever played. And now it has been taken to a new level with M&B: Warband, which has multiplayer.
Top 5 Favorite Games:
1.) Battlefield 1942
2.) Starcraft: Brood War
3.) Diablo II
4.) Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
5.) Battlefield 2/Call of Duty 2 toss-up
Some honorable mentions: City of Villains/Heroes, CS:S (what true hardcore PC gamer wasn’t obsessed with this at some point?), Age of Empires 1 and 2 and expansions, and the game that got me started : One Must Fall.
-Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
^I wasted a year and a half of my life playing the multiplayer on that game.
-Guild Wars
^Another one I wasted a shit ton of time on. Maybe like 2 years.
-Need for speed: Carbon
^At one point in time I was number 3 in the world on a few tracks with a McLaren and no h4x!
-Civilization 4
^Always a good one to play. Can pick it up and play whenever.
-Runescape
^I played that for probably a year consistently every day with my bestfriend at the time. We had the coolest gear ever. Dragon swords, Abyssal whips, Dragon scimitars, Gilded armor, etc.
Diablo II LOD-played untold amounts of time on that game. Had a hammerdin that was ridiculous powerful. Could rush someone through Hell diff. in about 6 minutes.
Starcraft (the original)-nuff said
Command and Conquer -red alert 2 -played the hell out of the single player
Starcraft II- I dunno why, I just got bored with this game really fast. Maybe I’ve spent too long playing RPG games.
Diablo (the original)-The Butcher scared the 10 year old shit outta me the first time i opened the door to his room.
No one has mentioned Total Annihilation! If by “top 5” you mean “top 5 most greedy time-eating games that i’ve wasted too much time on” then see below:
[PC]
TA - the original
Mechwarrior 2 & Mech2 mercs (online and off)
Unreal (first fps for me)
Counter-strike (the original, because 30:1 kill ratios made me feel goooooood)
[N64}
Goldeneye, happy school days those were
Any remember when Hidden & Dangerous first came out? When 3D shit was taking off? Voodoo2/3 3d cards?!
These days, when im not being distracted by an ever busier real-life i can mostly be found playing some naval combat, WW2 RTS, or Modern-day FPS (Black Ops is on pre-order…).
Played the shit out of the total war series. I would play for like 12 hours straight then pass out and dream about it the entire fucking night. It was really not good. Stressful really.
I have mentioned before that I no longer allow myself to play Madden, but the total war games are also on my list of no-go video games.

Legacy of Kain - Blood Omen (my all time favourite)

Soul Reaver is my favorite game ever. I still haven’t played the third one, I really should get it somehow. What I love the most is just how incredible the story is. It could easily turn into a series of movies, books, etc.
My favs are oldies, I switched over to console for gaming a good bit back.
My number one is Fallout 1 (“I’m sorry, you’re a hero…but you have to leave”<–a real “wow” moment, don’t get those much, generally you can tell how things are going to shake out).
Others:
Fallout 2
Diablo 1&2
Starcraft I
Warcraft I, II & III
Many of these games bring back memories. I’ve seen a few console system games on this list. I figured this thread was exclusively computer games, but if we are including other systems then I will give a nod for Super Metroid and the game that I would have put number 1 on my list would have been The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
I gave my top five but some other memorable games include:
X-com
Kings Quest VI
Full Throttle
Castles II
I don’t have 5 different games. Though in order to chime in, my all time fav computer games were the original Rainbow Six games. The original through “Raven Shield” were the shit.

Yeah I would have a totally different list if we were including console games.
-Super Mario Bros World (SNES)
-Mario Kart (for SNES)
-Halo (brings back memories from first year of college)
1-Diablo 1 & 2
2-Call of Duty
3-Mass Effect 2 (never played the 1st one)
4-GTA (Probably Vice City. I never got around to finishing the last one)
5-Half Life series
