Yeah, I’ve grown to realize this is just part of the game. Not dwelling on it[/quote]
One thing I do that’s really silly is that I imagine myself as a much stronger, more developed doppelganger. A true phenom in every sense. I run through that imaginary life as I would if it were real. Thinking about those things gets me excited and ambitious and my will in the gym doesn’t falter because I’ve characterized a chiseled image of what I believe myself to be inside. If I falter, this vision is falsified. I don’t want that, so I drive harder and harder and harder still.

hmm… I like this. Basically there’s a bigger, leaner, stronger me, withheld in me, who I may never unleash if I’m not improving each day. Thanks Spartee, visualizing/imagining success is one of those things that helps me a lot when I do it, but I forget to do often.

Looks like you are staying very consistent and doing this to the best of your ability, will be very exciting to see where you are in a years time.

Regarding the breaking up situation, I had it happen to me (in a VERY messy way) in January after 2 years… I definitely channelled some of that anger in my lifting as it feels good for me to have something I KNOW I’m in control of and am focusing/progressing nicely. I’m still not at the same level of confidence as I was with the womenz before/during, so it definitely can take time, but I’m sure we’ll be back to tearing it up either side of the atlantic soon enough man. Head up, lift hard.

Sorry misread. Didnt realize you had an off day/low carb day after the high carb backload.

Thanks man. Yeah, the breakup has been real hard, but I staying positive. It’s opened my eyes to a lot of things, some problems both her and I had, but tomorrow we are grabbing lunch. Hopefully she and I can agree to work things out, as stuff just hasn’t been the same. Plus, when I’m stressed about this stuff, it seems I drop weight like crazy. lol

Progress pics. Just trying to show how I’ve been able to drop the love handles drastically while staying in the 190-200 range. Think now that I got the fat under control, it’s just a matter of getting bigger shoulders.

Still can’t take a decent back pic.

Too pale to show any real definition. lol

Bad posing is bad

And one more I took last week

da seckz … seeing some traps

Thanks man. Traps are something I never work, because I literally get a pump in them from bench, pushdowns, squats, really anything. lol

4/6/12

AM: HFS

At my home gym, where the bar isn’t slippery, and the bench is tall. Life is good.

Back Squat: Stupid fast
225x3x2

Flat Bench: Able to use SO much leg drive on the taller bench, wish I had it at school
185x3x2

Conventional Deadlifts: LEGOOO
285x3x2

PM: Lats and Triceps

Straight Arm Pulldowns: Pump city
40x8
60x15
50x10

Yates Rows: Super controlled. Just adding weight 5lbs each week
195x6
215z6
235x10

Pulldowns: Schexy
140x4
160x4
180x7.999
120x12

Stretchers: Pretty sure these are the most pure lat exercise in existence.
100x10
120x15

Flared Pushdowns: Whats the deal with no rope attachments any where??
40x8
60x8
50x12

JM Preses: Added 5 lbs, crazy contraction
70x6
90x6
110x10

DB OH Extension: Finished Tri’s off pretty good
10’sx10
15’sx10
20’sx20

Few Face Pulls

Great workouts today. Foam Rolled for like 20mins this morning, felt good. Makes me so mad that the benches at school are so low, when my tall one at home is just perfect for me. I need to work on ankle flexibility I guess, get my feet farther back under me on bench, because on the toes feels retarded. lol

From now on, I’m waking up 40mins early before HFS work and foam roll the shit outta my lower back, traps, shoulders, calves, hammies, and ankle/feet. I think that’s why performance on those lifts was sketchy last few weeks.

Also figuring out 2.5lbs plates are my best friends. lol. Just contiously adding 5lbs every week is a pretty decent way to progress. Sad it took me this long to realize that. LULZ. Next week will start a new cycle of HFS, start with 140x3x6. Squats tomorrow should go well tomorrow, hoping to hit a big PR

You know what that means right? Work them = PRs everywhere.

I’ve posted them before. They are one of my stronger body parts, so i rarely take a pic of them. If I squat, they grow. lol

Really?? I included shrugs for awhile, but stopped because the DOMS in them would last like 5 days after like 3 sets of shrugs. lol. It was making it hard to set up for bench and stuff. lol

Guess it’s time I add some direct work back in, though.
