Not my favourite scene in the movie (the flashback sequence of his night of debauchery is) but still a good highlight of an outstanding film.
and god damn it, you gotta have some Pat Bateman in here somewhere![/quote]
Acknowledging the Bateman shoutout. American Psycho ranks right up there.
Another brilliant film is In Bruges. All three main characters were well developed. If I had to choose two scenes out of so many it would be “inanimate f#cking object” and “cunt f#cking kids”

I love In Bruges, it’s one of the first times I think I began to take Colin Farrell semi-seriously as an actor. Who could forget the inanimate object line, I’ve been waiting for a moment to use that line for five years.
This is one of my favourites, it’s so ridiculous and randomly unorthodox.
Edit: Just looking through, there are so many hilarious moments I’ve forgotten about, I’m going to watch this again tomorrow.
I enjoyed both In Bruges and recently Seven Psychopaths, we can only hope McDonagh decides to write and direct more films to come, I can definitely see him making some very memorable dark comedies in future.

Hear hear. Watched it last month. Seven Psychopaths restored my faith in cinema after Savages caused it to come crashing down

Have you seen Infernal Affairs? I watched it a little while after I first saw The Departed and I loved the hell out of it.

Not yet, but its on my “just watch it already” list for awhile.
Thomas Jane completely sells this scene like his life depends on it, unbelievably underrated actor.
Edit: FUCKING DUBS
