Your Eating Oddities

Ok, here’s the deal:

As people who are physique-conscious, we think about food choices alot. As if we weren’t odd enough (compared to the general lazy-assed populace), I think we all have our own oddities. I’m just wondering what yours are…

I can’t stomach egg whites, I literally gag at the thought of ingesting them. It’s whole eggs or no eggs. I can’t “water down” my whole eggs with like, 6 whites per whole egg either. Gross.

On the other hand, I could (theoretically) live on cottage cheese. I know many here hate it, but I love it. I mix it with salsa, or cucumbers and peppers, or even strawberries and pineapple on higher carb days.

So what are YOUR eating oddities?

My oddity is that my eating style is a dichotomy; I love to fast and to feast.

It’s great that I came across intermittent fasting, I love the idea of going for X amount of time without food and full of energy, then sitting down to a meal of excess; without having the side effect of obesity

Every now and then, I throw in a ‘Warrior-diet’-like daily meal plan of a day long fast (with fish oil and some amino acids) ending with all-you-can-eat rib night. (Current Record, 10 feet of back ribs)

These plans seem to be pretty well for my physique, as I am not a bodybuilder nor powerlifter and don’t need gratuitous amounts of calories, and it works with my mentality so much better.

HATE tomatoes, but love ketchup, chunky salsa, and sauce.

I honestly like Tuna, Broccoli, Cottage Cheese… the usual things that make people who never worry about their diet wince in disgust -lol.

-Believe that Peanut Butter on anything will always ake it better (have been known to spread some on pop tarts).
-Like to go waaaay overboard with ketchup on particular food items
-Will eat cashews nonstop until I reach the bottom of the container
-Have tried mixing Metabolic Drive powder with just about anything in an attempt to jusify eating it.

Ha, I thought I was the only one with this oddity.

Hmm… I hate olives, which is only odd bc everyone else in my super Italian family love them. I think they taste like a sweaty gym sock.

-I could also spend an entire day only eating peanut butter and pickles.

-I have a habit of tricking girlfriends into eating like me. It isn’t uncommon to see us plowing through a pound of beef with some cheese on top, and that’s it.

-For some reason cauliflower tastes sweet and delicious to me.

-I once tried green ketchup and threw up  It just isn’t right!

I’m pretty much the opposite; I can eat dozens of raw tomatoes, especially w/fresh basil and olive oil. I love salsa, but can’t stomach ketchup AT ALL. I also believe that bacon can improve any food, but it is, sadly, not exactly waistline friendly.

How long do u fast for? I went almost 2 days w/out food once ( not by choice) that made me lethargic and somewhat delusional lol . Nowadays, I can do 1 day, but heard it’s not healthy for metabolism

I’ve done some incline walking fasted, but I like workout nutrition way too much to do anything intense fasted.

I have broken a fast with my workout nutrition, then stuffed myself after the workout. Best of both worlds as I am not weighed down yet I have aminos in my system.

Intermittent fasting, I don’t eat from when I wake up (5 am) to about noon; everyday.

I’m not a fan of not eating for an entire day, I fast so I can earn my feast

I thought you spread poptarts on steaks?

Sugar on tomatoes is pretty tasty, I can also eat the same thing every single day and not mind it(though i do love a large French Silk Pie blizzard from Dairy Queen once a week :))

I have an unhealthy relationship with cream cheese and tobasco… I put it on everything, eggs, burgers, chicken… and well other things I eat.

if i let myself id put ketchup on everything, eggs, potatoes, toast even Steak gasp

when i didnt eat right i use to go to this local restaurant get lasagna cover it in ketchup and bury my fries in it, then eat it all up was sooo good!

Lol, Poptarts, yet another addition that makes everything better.

With my last show of the season coming up, I’ve been listing everything I’m going to ‘destroy’ afterward. The latest,… a giant greasy bacon cheeseburger, sandwiched between two pancakes!

I guess this isn’t too strange, but peanut butter is definitely my vice. It seems everyone on T-Muscle likes peanut butter, but I’ll take it a little bit overboard. I’ve definitely sat down on the couch before and crushed and entire jar with a spoon. Not to mention trying it on just about every type of food as a topping.

I got tired of eating broccoli so now what I do is blend it with water and down that shit. My friends can’t stand the sight of me drinking it, says it makes them wanna gag!

Trader Joes sells their version of V8 vegetable juice, they offer a low sodium version as well, which is the one I take. What I do is, I’ll take a 1/2 teaspoon of Franks Red Hot Sauce right before I drink. It kind of acts as a per chaser and compliments the flavor so well…I love it!

Sometimes after eating a meal and I’m still feeling a bit hungry, I have this way of quelling my appetitite - which is to take a teapsoon of apple cider vinegar. Not sure how it works but right after I take it, it’s like my appetite has been totally supressed.

I have a weird tomato thing, too. I love tomatoes-- raw, fried, ketchup, sauces, salsas, salads, etc.

I absolutely cannot stomach ‘stewed tomatoes’. I don’t know what it is, maybe I got sick on them when I was a kid or something. Maybe the texture. Weird.

I absolutely love liverwurst and braunschweiger, but I can’t stomach liver at all.

I have a dipping fetish, I literally have to dip all my food into some sort of sauce (usually Frank’s Hot sauce)

When I grab a sub from Subway, I always get them to pack a sauce on the side for me so I can dip my food throughout.

I haven’t seen this much when I was in the US, but in Canada pizza places sell dipping sauces (garlic/ranch/BBQ) for dipping your pizza crust in. I CANT eat pizza without it!

I eat thyme.
Powdered thyme blended with sesame seeds.
With a spoon.
