Sharks are the best fighters. By refusing to bring them in the boat, put my hand near their mouth to dehook and giving them the 12 gauge I mean a 12 gauge shot gun. They do not get released. Some people don’t like that. Sometimes you can’t help catching a shark though, it just happens. I personally bait them.

Overall it’s a great experience though. The water is very blue, the air has a definite fresh quality, the beer seems to taste better and I only play classic rock on the radio no exceptions.

Catch and release in most cases is worse than just eating the fish. If not handled properly the fish is weakened and either dies anyway, gets eaten in its weakened state, or is more susceptible to disease.

Yeah, this is why I make ceviche out there. You can’t really get caught as you can see boats coming from literally miles away and ceviche is damn delicious. Plus you can chum for sharks with the guts and stuff.
The sharks do have to die though, there isn’t much but a long waiting game for medical attention if you get hurt way out there and those fuckers are mean.
