Loved the comment, “Blind, weak, and femmy is no way for a man to go through life.”
runners…
I think he looks like a cool guy. I’m not just trying to be the guy who is the black sheep either. Haha listen to the way he says “black grapes” at the beginning of that one video that was just posted of him. I replayed it like ten times. It’s hillarious. He’s a funny dude.
I really hope for his sake he doesn’t get injured any time soon…
I have a legitimate question, maybe i’m slow, but if you cant test food before you cook it(never heard of that) and if after cooking it (the apple or whatever) no protein remains, how can he know that it had protein before they cooked it? Seeing as you can’t test it before cooking it?

Well cooking something isn’t going to “destroy” protein, per se. It will likely denature the proteins, but that hardly makes them useless. It actually just starts one step of normal digestion.
this guys a skinny fag.

There are various other testing methods such as using Iodine to test if something has starch/carbohydrate. When Iodine is mixed with a starchy or carbohydrate substance it turns black. However, if I can recall correctly we used a enzyme found in the stomach that digests protein (peptidase) and reweighed the sample to see if indeed it was broken down. If it lost mass then there was protein in the sample and peptidase broke it down???
What he is talking about is testing it through a microscope.
Help me if anyone knows the exact procedure? I cannot remember or even recall if this is the correct way or if it works like that. lol

I have no idea what he’s talking about that requires heating to test for protein or enzymes, but a Biuret test can be performed pretty simply by adding copper II sulfate and some sodium hydroxide to your sample. A positive will indicate peptide bonds, which could be a protein or an enzyme. We performed alot of them this summer in my bio lab.
I really think this guy needs to take intro biology again, his basic knowledge of macromolecules is painfully lacking.

I persoanlly think he is that type of person that is “I am right and what you say I will not take into consideration”. Just by hearing the tone of his voice and gestures in his video.

I fear that you’re right, and sadly people will actually take what he says for fact because he’s so sure of himself.

yes an iodine test is used for starch/ carbohydrates. To test foods for protein you use a biuret test. It signifies the presence of peptide bounds.
hes got 15 pounds more mucle mass than what??? a broomstick! fucking retard! i flaged the vid!
He overpowers 20 year old?
We know that amino acids are important but consuming protein is an easy, delicious way to get the amount most of us want. I am not sure I could get the amount I desire without consuming protein. At least not comfortably. Not everyone needs to have or desire the same goals, but I sure have no desire to look like him even if he is “in shape.” If that’s his desired look then good for him. I want to increase my overall mass while staying healthy and managing my pain from various injuries.

Hmm, maybe its just me, or my high school biology teacher. But don’t amino acids form proteins? And then don’t most protein powders have aminos in them? And how the hell is a protein a “middle man” if the body doesn’t even use them?

Proteins are long chains of amino acids. These amino acids are held together by peptide bonds. It takes energy for the body to break these bonds. So what he’s saying is basically why waste time consuming protein when we could just consume the amino acids. It will digest quicker and takes less energy.

He can suck on his grass while I eat my juicy fire grilled steak to get my precious protein/amino acids.

Come on guys, everyone knows that diet has no influence on building muscle. I mean, thats what they told him, but HELLO! Look who proved them wrong. Now he’s too muscular[/quote]
Lol!

lol…Hey i’m with you on that, but i think some of the things this guy said makes sense.
