You guys are so close now, will be fully deserved as well.
Life events have meant I haven’t posted in here recently.
Training and diet has been going well. 91kg now and feeling an awful lot fitter to boot. Carbs are gradually coming down too. It’s clear to see my diet has needed sorting for a long while.
Today’s training:
Bench supersetted w/ trap bar deadlifts, loads of sets and reps
Prowler pushing and pulling
Some rounds on the heavy bag
Watching the jocks do England a favour in the six nations
Brilliant advice thank you, has really helped with hitting my macros the past few weeks.
Not to mention it’s yummy (for fitness food) and you feel like you are treating yourself with desert.
Just to add to the original post, Arla do an awesome protein “yoghurt” that hits this the spot perfectly for me. A touch expensive, but not crazy. I just never remember to buy any.
It’s gorgeous.
Monday - my usual rest day

3 High Pulls
4 Hang cleans
5 Hanging leg raises
Dips
Pull-ups
Chin-ups
Pushups
Farmers carry
Lunges
Hill sprints
Have done an excessive amount of them over the past week. I have access to a park with a plethora of bars, as well as a pair of 24kg kettlebells.
If anyone has any other exercise suggestions I’m all ears.
I don’t have access to scales but I believe I a, dropping the fat slowly. Will have to sort a progress pic now won’t I.
If you are working on conditioning I usually do a little circuit that goes
10 burpees
20 push ups
30 squats
40 sec plank
Repeat the circuit 5 times. No rest between exercises, rest only enough to catch breath between circuits
Time it and beat it next time. You can change out squats with jumping lunges or plank with skipping (double unders you can do them)
This sounds horrible, I am going to try it. Cheers.
Really pleased with myself because I’ve found a log in my park which is perfect for pressing. Happy as a pig in shit.
Tonight’s covid-19 workout, lower body focus:
Reverse KB lunges
Farmers walks
Hill sprints
You did you go with the burpee circuit ?
I did, exactly what I needed. Will be throwing it in regularly for CV.
That looks like a good circuit, I’ve bookmarked it.
Do it with little rest and it’s brutal, enjoy
I finally accessed some scales. I am now down to 85kg, a loss of 8kg since th end of Jan.
I’m chuffed with that considering I haven’t seen the inside of a gym for about 3 months.
Have been taking it each day at a time but generally training has looked like this:
Day 1. Run to the park, bang out a ton of dips and chins. Find a log in the forest and press that til you can’t lift it, run home.
Day 2. Loads of single leg body weight exercises - pistols, lunges, deadlifts, hip thrusts etc
Day 3 and 4 - repeat above
Day 5. Rest
Have added in burpee circuits and sprinting sessions here and there too, football training finally recommences this evening too, happy days.
Can’t wait to see a barbell though, whenever that may be.
Hey man, everything alright?
Hello mate, I’m good thanks, appreciate you checking on me. I’ve just been really busy and in all honesty, rarely have much to add on here as there are plenty more knowledgeable posters than myself!
Oh good good. Still lifting?
Besides, it’s not about being the most knowledgeable lol.
I have been, however, as of today all gyms in England are shut for a month. Have borrowed a bar + a few plates from my gym and I have a park that I run to which has pull-up bars and a dipping station so although it’s frustrating I’ll be fine. I will start keeping this log a bit more up to date now I think, thanks mate.
Weight is up to 87kg last time I checked and strength is up too. Need to hold onto as much of that as possible now.
