Yohimbine-Free Spike Alternatives?

I recently learned that Yohimbine-free Spike is no longer available. It was my favorite supplement probably.

So now i’m looking for alternatives. Tried HOT-ROX Extreme yesterday, hoping to hit two birds with one stone - fat loss, preworkout stim, but the yohimbine is still killing me today.

General ideas or more specific products (if we’re allowed) are all welcome.

Thanks a lot

I recommend Spike Shotgun.

It doesn’t contain Yohimbine, so it’s likely to work well for you.

Uh oh, no shotguns in store? Any other alternatives for us Yohimbine-sensitive guys?

So just some are sensitive to Yohimbine HCI?

I take two Spike tabs before a heavy WO + a quad espresso, Power Drive in there too then Anaconda.

Stack is working well for me.

Daaaaayum, my chest would explode with that stack! Spike or HOT-ROX with extra caffeine gives me palpitations here and there. Nothing terrible, but since I can only do one or the other, most days I just stick to caffeine. I really don’t think you can beat straight up caffeine pills. I like to crush mine up and throw it in my diet pepsi. I did that with Spike and it tasted funky.

Celsius is a really mild one I’ve found, shouldn’t be too hard to find and its quite refreshing. No yohimbe afaik.

My two cents worth is to consider whether you have cortisol issues before taking any such stimulant. This isn’t new and is mentioned frequently by Poliquin and the biosignature crew. It took me a while to realise it because I have stubborn fatty deposits around the midrift and thought stimulants would help but it didn’t. I felt frazzled on those things, I had an increase in aches and pains, and I assume my cortisol levels were through the roof. Fat burners, IMO, are one of the most over-stated supplements on the market.

Poliquin also suggests taking supplements to downregulate cortisol after a WO especially if you have taken some stims. In his WO protocol for 2009 that he posted on his website he shows taking 1gram caffeine with a few other supps before his WO and then PS and an herb supp to control cortisol after.

It’s all about the hormones…

I’m not denying that, Poliquin’s “iron shoe coffee” is legendary. My point is caffeine is not the weightloss panacea its often made out to be due to its impact on cortisol.

I agree with you regarding caffeine/cortisol. I personally have never used caffeine as a weightloss aid, rather I use it regularly to ramp up my workouts. For my metabolic profile, it makes a night and day difference. Actually had a Dr. tell me for my body’s response to heavy weights, I need caffeine. Good thing I love espresso!

Poliquin also takes care of the extra cortisol boost brought on by the Java Stim he takes pre-WO. Important to note that.
