Great Skynyrd choices. I like Simple Man too.

No CCR?

Oh yeah, first up, hi Yogi. I’m Wolfman (William, since we were all introducing ourselves a few posts up). Been lurking here for a little while now, and I just thought I’d drop by and say thanks for all the wisdom you share here. Guys like you keep these forums worth hanging around.

Just read through the last half of this post and like the poster above me been lurking around a while. Not just on your posts either, everyone’s, I’m a serial lurker. Just thought I’d introduce myself too since its becoming a bit of a theme and I couldn’t join in on the meggings one. I’m Jack.

oh there will most definitely be. Tons of Allman Brothers, Blue Oyster Cult, Free, Bad Company, all that kind of shit. The main theme we all agreed upon is “filthy riffs”.

Glad to have you aboard, William!

Smoke on the Water, and, frankly, some Jerry Jeff wouldn’t suck - maybe that’s my country showing.

I don’t know. Can one sing Skynyrd with a Scottish accent? Or is this one of those things where you talk funny, but sing like a southern boy? Hmmm… Would love to hear it!

aw na c’mon man there’s way better Deep Purple songs than that!

haha, I don’t actually have a very strong Scottish accent, and I definitely don’t sing in one!

yes, but none you can play for thirty minutes.

When covering AC/DC you better be wearing that gay little school boys outfit or it doesn’t count. And as a southerner, if you don’t sing skynyrd in a southern accent it doesn’t count in my books

Angus Young wears the schoolboy outfit. I’m all about the Bon Scott, so tight jeans and shirtless.

At the risk of offending your Southern sensibilities, there’s no way I’m putting on a fake Southern accent! That’d just be weird. It’s actually a pet hate of mine - singers who try and emulate the artist they’re covering. Unless you’re a tribute act, just sing like you.

In other news: I don’t suppose anyone in here has ever been, or is currently in, Belgium?

Me and the mrs are heading there in Jan, so it’d be nice to have a local, or at the very least - experienced, perspective.

I actually have a friend(well,we speak here and there,he actually was an english teacher I had for 4 months) that’s traveling around the world.I think he’s been in 70-80 countries so far,so if you tell me the town(s) you’ll be visiting he might know a thing or two

cool, well we’re in Brussels the whole time. Every January we pick whatever European city we can get to on the cheap for a little mini-break, and spend like 5 days drinking and eating a fucking ton. This time it’s Brussels.

The cut might have to be postponed by a week. Belgian beer is supposed to be incredible and those waffles are da bomb

Sounds like a great plan.

I know, right? That time of the year you can get cheap flights so we just celebrate xmas like that instead of buying gifts for each other.

Last year we did Berlin which is without a doubt one of the coolest places on Earth

I’ll be in Scotland in April. Scotch and Southern Classic rock are two of my favorite things. Know anywhere I can enjoy both?

Also… my name is Chris. I was a fucking creative genius 6 years ago when I created my account.

Holy shit! That’s amazing. When/where?

I really don’t know, to be honest. One of my best friends is getting married in England, so I’m going to make an extended holiday of it. There are a few castles with my last name I’d like to check out. Other than that, visiting distilleries and eating haggis.
