No need to to get pissed off. I’m just voicing an opinion, and Solomos i really thank you for your intelligent opinions, I understand your point. Musclerob, no need to be pissy! C’mon, It’s as easy to say that Saddam and Osama were created by the US as it is for you to say that France and Grmany are buddies with him (Saddam) get the point? The “food for oil” was a good program which also strengthened the Euro, which in the US’s best interest was not good. Oil supplies here in the States are for 13 years, in Iraq for 80. Again, that’s the main reason I BELIEVE the US went war with Iraq. Any way, Musclerob do you eber drive over the speed limit? If you do, then you’re breaking the law, and that would make you a criminal! I guess in that sense we’re all criminals! Perhaps we should all be locked up! I think you get my point…
And regarding welfare… of those 25% who are on welfare, would you care to tell me how many are actually Mexican? Not puertrican, salvadoran, somali, hmong, strictlt Mexican? And how many white americans are on welfare and how many african americans are on welfare? If we do a comparative analysis, you’d be surprised at the percentages. Mexicans DO NOT come here to be on welfare, they come here to work so they can send money to their families in Mexico. Now Musclerob, I know you’ll get pissed at what I’m going to say, WE AIN’T GOING NO WHERE! As long as we can work and do the things that other people are not willing to do WE ARE STAYING!
Peace.

kike,
Musclerob, no need to be pissy!
Hehe, ok.
C’mon, It’s as easy to say that Saddam and Osama were created by the US as it is for you to say that France and Grmany are buddies with him (Saddam) get the point?
Yes, we helped the Taliban. This was in order to fight off the soviet union! Lesser of two evils, right? Something some liberals on this board love to say with respect to the election ![]()
Comparing helping someone bad to get rid of a larger problem to a country trying to stop our self defense is, well, a bad comparison.
The “food for oil” was a good program which also strengthened the Euro, which in the US’s best interest was not good.
Yes, but the whole program was bad. The money was just stolen for Sadam.
Oil supplies here in the States are for 13 years, in Iraq for 80. Again, that’s the main reason I BELIEVE the US went war with Iraq.
This is a possibility, but I think it’s down on the list from self defense.
Any way, Musclerob do you eber drive over the speed limit?
Only when it’s safe ![]()
If you do, then you’re breaking the law, and that would make you a criminal! I guess in that sense we’re all criminals! Perhaps we should all be locked up! I think you get my point…
Sorry, I don’t. There is a very large difference between a little summary offense and being in the country illegally.
And regarding welfare… of those 25% who are on welfare, would you care to tell me how many are actually Mexican? Not puertrican, salvadoran, somali, hmong, strictlt Mexican?
I have no idea. To me it’s not about where they come from. I have just as much against a Mexican illegal and a Canadian illegal being here.
And how many white americans are on welfare and how many african americans are on welfare? If we do a comparative analysis, you’d be surprised at the percentages. Mexicans DO NOT come here to be on welfare, they come here to work so they can send money to their families in Mexico.
I remember hearing that a great percentage of Mexicans are on welfare, but that’s not the point. The point is that 25% of illegals are on welfare, which is paid for by my tax dollars. Welfare should be totally gotten rid of, but that’s another argument.
Now Musclerob, I know you’ll get pissed at what I’m going to say, WE AIN’T GOING NO WHERE! As long as we can work and do the things that other people are not willing to do WE ARE STAYING!
I have one question. Why not do it legally?
Kike
WE AIN’T GOING NO WHERE! As long as we can work and do the things that other people are not willing to do WE ARE STAYING! ? You hit the nail on the head. ?As long as we can work and do the things that other people are not willing to do?, this is a great point. I think this is intertwined with so many other issues in America. One thing that I think that we can agree on is, the more people we have working and not on welfare, the stronger the US economy will be. We need people to do the work that you mentioned. Some people make a choice to be on welfare. They could work and earn their money, but they choose to get a check from the government. It would take time, but without welfare those individuals would have to work or suffer the consequences. If we could only deport them instead?
Me Solomon Grundy
heh Solomon, I knew it wasn’t completely relevant, but I thought you guys would like to see a little bit of humor. Anyways, I shall present an articulate and well thought out response to this topic as soon as I can drag my poor college ass from all my damn engineering hw.
Ren, that is the one thing that I hate about forums. You just can’t tell when someone is serious.

Musclerob,
As far as my personal situation is concerned, I am legal to work in the US. But man, it’s just so difficult to get papers… I agree with you on the point of doing it legally (it has costed me a lot to do it the right way) but then again, a lot of the people (Mexicans anyway) don’t have the resources to do it that way. And, really believe it or not I thank you for not singling out illegal mexicans. And about speed limits it was just to illustrate a point in which normally we don’t like o be labeled as criminals. Of course we can’t compare speeding with being illegal, yet strictly speaking commiting both actions is against the law.
Solomon, again i thank you for your intelligent comments and leaving the personal attacks aside.
Personally, I believe the US is a great place to live, yet, as everything else has its good and bad things. I believe that doing something good doesn’t erase the bad or viceversa. And you do have an excellent point, some people just aren’t willing to do the “dirty” jobs, and that’s why when someone else comes and does them they get hired. I think there are jobs for everyone and not finding one is almos a personal choice.
Peace.
k.
kike,
Many many many immigrants from Europe came over here with nothing, yet they did it legally. Why can’t people do that today?
The better question is, what is different between what you had to do to be legal in the 1800s and what you have to do now?
Musclerob, I guess back then everything was easier. I’m sure there weren’t any immigration laws, or at least in the form that we have now. You know, with so much national security on the line and economics everything is not as simple as it used to be.
