Sean Penn states that Wyclef is a powerful voice for Haiti but his choice to run for President is seen by him and those on the ground as somewhat dubious.

He also alludes to the fact that Wyclef may be oblivious to the fact that self serving parties linked to him might have ulterior motives in Haiti that he is unawre of, or at least is too naive to recognise.

I dont envy Wyclef’s choice to enter the snake pit that is politics, esp. in Haiti where corruption and exploitation are rife. He has put his cards on the table and already the shit is starting to fly!

Maybe Sean Penn should run for President of Haiti. Speaking of which…the current one looks just like Fresh Prince’s butler,Jeffrey.[/quote]

I think Uncle Phil (so big he can do what he wants, when he wants) had a secret non-ghey prison style affair with Geoffrey (he’s British, public schooled so prone to sexual depravity) and Rene Preval was the result!

It concludes that the bias has extended across drama, comedy and entertainment, with the corporation pandering to politically motivated celebrities and trendy causes. [/i]

All media outlets do this though. This can’t be ‘news’ to anyone over the age of 12.

They all pander for ratings within a niche market to get advertising dollars.

They are all full of shit, sensationalists looking to sell commercial air time.

I don’t disagree.

Unfortunately, there are millions of people over 12 who cannot distinguish between news, entertainment, and niche programming. It’s pretty obvious when you try to have a real political discussion that they get their news/views/cues from John Stewart and Bill Mahar.

Fox is demonized for their ‘news-tainment’, which, is not ‘news’. It’s opinion entertainment. Yet, you NEVER hear the same applied from Maddow and Olberman and Couric (and all fifty-two of their collective viewers).

Now that Daniel Shore is dead, NPR has moved a click toward worthy reporting (he hasn’t been relevant since Nixon).

I’m not a real ‘Fox’ fan, but when you look at their ‘hard-news’ reporting vs. AP/Reuters wires and the usual suspects (NYT, CBS, WaPo) it’s not so bad-- keywords “hard-news reporting”.

The point that most don’t understand is not what’s said, but what’s NOT said. When you don’t cross reference a story with many other reports (if they exist), you don’t catch that bias. THAT’S where the so-called “Left-bias” thrives. Case in point was this last pres election cycle. It was disgusting.

The last pres election cycle wasn’t necessarily left bias is it’s true form but rather ‘I’m-sick-of-this-last dude-who-was-supposedly-from-the-right.’

Fail.
