I was just wondering if anyone was aware that there are two bills that will be coming before Congress to BAN all supplements? The World Trade Organization would take control. That means we would need a prescription for everything. The costs would go thru the roof. If this goes thru it would take affect around June 2005. I don’t have all the specifics. This was discussed in the supplement forum, and I went on a search trying to find information about this, and could only find crap websites.
By the way, I hope you are not talking about congress.com or congress.org, as the real government websites have .gov at the end of their website name. I believe at least one of these is a politically biased website intending to fool people into thinking they actually went to the government website.

This gives the true story. Both of the bills you are talking about are defunct. I am not worried. Be very careful of where you get your information, especially on the internet. The biggest place I found all this information was on forums, but I also found links to sites where you can donate money to help the cause, and I have serious doubts about those sites.
smallnomore even mentioned receiving emails about it, then checking out the bills mentioned, and they were not related, so some are using fear tactics to fool people into fighting against the wrong bills. Too many people are too lazy to check this stuff out.
If there is any true risk, Biotest would be on it, and they would be writing a ton of articles to get us out there writing letters to everybody, so if this ever were to happen, I am sure we would get a good warning.
I think this is an urban legend. There are a couple of threads regarding CODEX here at T-Nation. I think it has been debunked for the most part.
But I could be wrong.
Thanks guys. I got an email about this and jumped on Congress.gov site. I did a quick search and found an article. Unfortunately I’m at work and didn’t get to read up on everything. I was hoping it wasn’t true. Anyway gotta run. Thanks for the update. Work is calling.
