Wrath was pretty shitty, watched it on Thursday,
Remember things come out in Egypt first lol.
Hunger Games i watched this morning, and i said to the wife that it was kinda like Battle Royale and Condemned.
Hunger games was pretty good IMO yeah its teeny, the story was pretty cool i think and the killing was more graphic than i though it would be for a kiddy film. Especially when the ‘Game’ starts.
Looking forward to the sequels.
I liked the Hunger Games. I’ve seen Condemned but still haven’t seen Battle Royale yet. I could already tell that WOTT would be utter shit.

I wouldn’t be pissed seeing it at Full Price. I just know that most of the cheap skates on here would see it at a Matinee and be happy.
I was going to see it at a matinee this weekend but won’t have time so I guess this cheap ass is going to have to pay full price to see it this afternoon after work.

Anybody seen Immortals yet? They seem to have stolen WotT’s plot out from under it (Perseus defends the gods against freshly-freed Titans).
Roy I saw it, its okay. The Titans in Immortals was a let down IMO.
Are they the super zombie army on crack they appear to be in the trailers?
Yes I dont now what was titan about them other than titan let down.

Yeah I know they don’t make much on tickets and its all concessions. I also know its crazy to pay but its the whole experience for me.
Maybe they are putting crack in the popcorn so we have to buy it. Let’s get a govt task force on this pronto.

I honestly don’t begrudge people buying snacks during movies (even though the whole phenomenon of rows of people eating to images and sounds at prescribed times gets weirder the more I think about it): I don’t eat or drink during a movie (haven’t done so in years), which makes ME the weirdo, but if everyone was like me all the theaters would’ve closed down by now, so … thanks to all who buy snacks at the movies!
I dip snuff and drink a diet drink during movies, no food.
Also someone mentioned about other parts of immortals being pretty good and I agree, still let down at the end.
Well I went last night and ended up still paying 7.50 which is the usual matinee price here. I enjoyed it and not just because I’ve wanted to bang Rosamund Pike since I saw doom.

I liked immortals but they way the portrayed the gods and titans they could’ve just been ninjas with the exception of that one poseidon scene.
Wrath of Titan(yes TITAN)…was a another let down. They could have used a cardboard cut out of Worthington and you wouldn’t have noticed the difference…lol. Great actors in Fiennes,Neeson, and Nighy collected paychecks…they were just used as filler. Don’t get me started on Ares. Imo,it was the previous…but insert Kronos as the Kraken.
Immortals was better, imo…you at least knew what the fuck was going on…and it was explained. Better representation of the gods, imo. Cavill’s Theseus was more believable as a demi-god son of Zeus.
Triple pearl-coating(awesome visuals…cgi) on a rust bucket with no engine to push it(the writing).
WolBarret wrote:
I also the Immortals a few weeks back. If I had to compare the Titans between the two movies, I would pick the Wrath Titans. The variety, the powers, and looks are better than Immortal’s.
I give Immortals a C plus and I give Wrath B plus.
Ditto on the B rating.
Saw it for the matinee price. Would be pissed if I’d paid full price for me and the missus.
PS WTF does popcorn and a soda cost $12? I don’t want to put people out of work but man make that shit self serve and cut the cost in 1/3.
Fuck that. I bring my own food. Then again, this was easier when I was on the motorcycle because I could justify the backpack. I may not be able to do that anymore.
Dude, I drive my Jeep to the movies, I still use this excuse…I credit you when my friends ask.

Yep…it’s call an opinion WolB…lol. IMO,Greek mythology should never be dumbed down for the masses…which Wrath of the Titans did plenty. But I’m a purist…to each their own.

BB you got to suspend belief with Hollywood, they totally fucked up Greek Mythology on this, no point in even trying to believe that can stay the course.

To be honest for an action movie I’m not sure I want straight out Greak Mythology. hahahahahah The greeks had alot of Rape and unhappy ending with the gods and humans. Zues was the biggest Rapest the world had ever known hahahahaha.

Exactly plus a lot of incest etc. Its just an action movie with pretty lights, I had hope for the new Keanu Reeves guess I was wrong.

Lol…true…but it can be done without “alldat” lol. I had more gripes with the script holes than being “true” to mythology. It wouldn’t have hurt to fill some of those holes…considering the movie’s short run time.

That’s what happens when you remake a movie and stretch the remake out over a trilogy. That was the original plan when Leterrier signed for ‘Clash’, anyway.

Some stories are more suitable for adaptation than others. The 12 labors of Hercules (or Heracles if you want to get technical) would make a great action movie. Imagine a cross between Thor and Conan…Brian Thompson played him to perfection in the Jason and the Argonauts miniseries. Proud , boastful of his heritage and charismatic. Best thing in it by far, and best screen Hercules ever imo.
