Would These Test Levels Be Considered for TRT?

Hi All

I’ve just come across this site as I have been recently looking into low testosterone levels.

I have been suffering for a few years now with Anxiety, depression, bad sleep pattern and mood swings, low energy, no motivation and not to mention a lot of fat deposit around the mid section.

I’m always yawning at work with comments from colleagues such as ‘keeping you up are we”.

I used to be a Steriod user and since stoping some 4 years ago, these symptoms have appeared.

I had my testosterone level tested 2 years ago at age 41 and the result was 10.5 nmol which I believe is 296 ng/dl.

Doctor told me this was normal.
I’m currently ordering new tests online.

Is this level low and/or should I Persue TRT?
Would this test level be considered for TRT?

Thank you

Tentatively, yes and yes, pending current lab results.

UK doctors are clueless about androgen deficiency, whenever I see nmol/L units what comes next is of no surprise. Sure you’re normal if your 90 years old. I felt like death in those ranges, you need to go private as NHS doctors are braindead, similar to our VA. State healthcare systems are a joke as standards are low, staffed be the worse doctors.

You need thyroid labs as well and UK doctors will refuse to test anything other than TSH, stone age medicine. They will script you SSRIs instead of thyroid treatment, they will say hormones a low do to depression and give you SSRIs instead of TRT because that’s how they are trained.

Hi

I’ve been experiencing symptoms of low testosterone. Just had my blood work done. Can anyone interpret the results and would I be able to persue TRT based on these results.

Thanks

Need more info.

Age, some history, how you feel, medications, steroid use.

YOur testosterone results are low, your LH.FSH decent ,so may be testes not producing.
Should get more labs

Estradiol sensitive
CBC
CMP
lipids
prolactin
cortisol
TSH
T3 free
T4 free

Make this your thread for your case and do not create more threads that break up your info.

You do need TRT. You are now on a learning curve.

You appear to have primary hypogonadism. If we knew your age, we might have an opinion on whether that high FSH relative to LH should direct you to testicular cancer screening. Looking at other post, you probably are 43 years old.

Do not ignore below re iodine, thyroid and oral body temperatures.

Please read the stickies found here: About the T Replacement Category - #2 by KSman

  • advice for new guys - need more info about you
  • things that damage your hormones
  • protocol for injections
  • finding a TRT doc

Evaluate your overall thyroid function by checking oral body temperatures as per the thyroid basics sticky. Thyroid hormone fT3 is what gets the job done and it regulates mitochondrial activity, the source of ATP which is the universal currency of cellular energy. This is part of the body’s temperature control loop. This can get messed up if you are iodine deficient. In many countries, you need to be using iodized salt. Other countries add iodine to dairy or bread.

I can be a bit abrupt in my replies and recommendations. I have a lot of ground to cover as this forum has become much more active in the last two years. I can’t follow threads that go deep over time. You need to respond to all of my points and requests as soon as possible before you fall off of my radar. The worse problems are guys who ignore issues re thyroid, body temperatures, history of iodized salt. Please do not piss people off saying that lab results are normal, we need lab number and ranges.

The value that you get out of this process and forum depends on your effort and performance. The bulk of your learning is reading/studying the suggested stickies.

Hi
Yes I’m 43 years old.
Have used Ababolic steroids In the past.

My second set of tests results.

My GP has referred me to the Endocrinologist but I have just received a letter from the hospital stating on review of my referal they won’t see me at this time.

Any suggestions as to what I do next?
I can’t go on feeling as shitty as this.
I also did have all my bloods done and these were normal.

You need to find a doctor who specializes in TRT. You’ll likely need to go outside the national health care system. Good luck.

What does that mean they won’t see you at this time? That’s kind of vague. Anyways they wouldn’t have been able to help you anyway, you do need to find a private specialists.
