I’m 32 (live in UK so results may be measured differently to the way it’s done in the US etc), I’ve been feeling crappy for many years, tired, achey and the worst is I sweat a lot. Even after just 10mins walking in mild weather! Sex drive is not non existant but I can happily go without and erections dont appear as often as they used to though dont feel like I have trouble when I need one. I also did a stool test recently and the anaerobic bacteria seemed a bit out of whack! Anyway, here are my results of my blood test which was taken not long after waking up after 10am last month. Was an online test so not a doctors consultation or anything. That testosterone is wayyyy to low isn’t it and the FSH sucks! Is the next step an appointment with a specialist in this sort of area? Any advice or opinions on the results much appreciated. Thanks so much!

-describe training [some ruin there hormones by over training] Cardio 3 times a week. Weights 5 times.
-testes ache, ever, with a fever? Occasionally. No fever.
-how have morning wood and nocturnal erections changed. Dont really get morning erections anymore, used to all the time!
The biggest problem there is NHS and doctors who are not able or willing to get beyond herd mentality.
You have never been fully virilized, indicating that T levels have always been low. So if we can identify and fix a cause your improvements are capped at historic levels.
You could get prolactin tested to see if that is a long term cause.
Low thyroid function can lower T.
Low thyroid function can be:
lack of energy
fat gain and/or inability to loose weight
feeling cold easily
mood/depression problems
enlarged thyroid, sore, lumpy
generalized hair thinning, brittle hair or nails
sparse outer eyebrows
Labs:
prolactin
Vit-D25 or take 5,000iu Vit-D3 per day, easy to be deficient in UK
AM cortisol, at 8AM please
IGF-1 to eval GH status
FSH so very low, suggest that you retest LH/FSH
E2 - estradiol
You can check your salt container and advise re iodized salt consumption now.
Report oral body temperatures ASAP.
How is stress a factor in your life?
Major stress events, illnesses etc?
Thanks for the reply! I haven’t measured it, I dont feel hot or cold upon waking, just normal really. But will check properly in the future. Heres some other tests I had done. Not sure if theres anything useful in there, I’m still trying to learn! Thanks again for the reply, much appreciated!
Thanks a lot for the response and info. Very much appreciated! I will get on to checking the temp asap and read the info. As frustrating as the situation is its kinda a cool subject to learn aswell! Yeah I agree re the NHS. Forgot to add I had glandular fever when I was young, around 18ish and this all started not long after, cant be exactly sure on the time frame but I’m pretty sure thats the case, no idea if theres a connection or not though. Also had a really tight chest at one point and was prescribed a steroid based inhaler for around 6 weeks or so, a google suggests steroid inhalers can wreck your insides so to speak! I pretty much hardly ever have salt, even when boiling veg. I did a cortisol blood and saliva recently.
Stressed for sure. A mum with cancer and tough situation with a woman I like. But…this all started when I was happy and didnt have a care in the world! Thanks again mate, much appreciated!
It seems that you have hypothyroidism. How is your zinc, selenium, iodine and omega-3 fatty acids intake?
Your vitamin B12 and folic acid are low. These reference ranges is completely odd. Vitamin B12 should be above 362 nmol/L (490 pg/mL). Even subclinical low vitamin B12 can cause low energy, and will increase, among with low folic acid, homocysteine levels, and increase inflamation in your body.
Probably not good tbh. My diet is pretty basic, just chicken, veg or rice with fruits for snacks. I’ve recently started on omega 3 fish oil supplement though. And have 1000mg with a meal. And a ZMA before bed. Not noticed any difference but it’s only been a few weeks and my body is probably so wrecked it may be too late haha!
Thank’s for another reply and all the info. Very grateful!
Strong case for iodine deficiency. You can fix that with iodine replenishment as per the thyroid basics sticky. But you have some thyroid autoimmune problems now that may be from years of high TSH and low selenium, You need a lower iodine supplement, 1/4 - 1/2mg per day and you must have an identified source of selenium, Get a high potency B-complex multi-vit with trace elements including iodine+selenium.
You can find kelp capsules that contain iodine.
Do not take any supplemental iodine without selenium. I would like to see you getting selenium for a few weeks before the kelp capsules. Otherwise your autoimmune could get worse. At this point I feel that it is reversible.
fT3 is good and sufficient for good body temperatures. If body temperatures are low, we suspect that adrenal stress is elevating rT3 which is blocking fT3. That is not a simple fix. Your higher cortisol levels are indicating that your adrenals have not collapsed and yes, things can get that bad.
The good news is that while a lot of TSH is needed to flog your thyroid to work harder to compensate for low iodine, your fT3, fT4 and T4 are looking very good. If body temps are good, then this may be a simple case of iodine and selenium deficiency which you may be able to fix.
The body temperature deviations that we are concerned with are not something that would make you feel hot or cold. But some will be wearing warmer clothing than expected.
