Ko, I work out at home, so I don’t really have the luxury of getting a spot when I go heavy. I also don’t have the luxury of a hot, strong girlfriend to spot me, either! But I digress. I make sure the safeties are set up properly and go at it. If I fail, it makes a noise. Big whoop. OTOH, you squat a lot more than I do, so perhaps your situation is a bit different.
