Its true that he does, but sometimes - recently - he gets penalised when he shouldn’t be. But its Ronaldo, so I don’t care. I’m pretty sure he’ll break his spine doing one of those special dives of his. Youtube it, you’ll see what I mean.

And yes, its called diving.

HAH! Yes its diving - but i quite like “flopping”, Cristiano looks a bit like a fish anyways (I’d still hit it, obviously). Anyways, diving is more prevalent on the forward line, for obvious reasons (“falling” into the box). You’d clearly be a total tool to dive as fullback.

Anyone watching Argentina?

He is not a dick he is a vagina.
A true shemale.

I don’t hate him “because of what he did” to Rooney - of course Rooney lost it but at least he has balls as well as plays with it.

I despise Ronaldo because he has enough talent not to have to resort to these “low blow” manipulation tactics.

I don’t care how brilliant he is - he is a shame to soccer.

I’m at work so I can’t watch them. They’re doing well I heard.

I just realised you’re a girl. Here I was thinking Ronaldo’s appeal swang both ways.

Do you remember when Rivaldo clutched his face like he’d just been shot, when in actual fact the ball had gently plopped along his leg? Disgraceful.

A “shame to soccer” is going too far.

Sure, he has his antics, but he also gets targetted a shit load. Crazy dirty stuff used to go on in the premier league and he often rode it, got hacked, bashed and all sorts. He has balls enough to run right at the best of the premier league’s defenders.

He’s still a twat.

HA! Does wanting to hit it with Ronaldo mean I have lesbian tendencies? And yes, I remember that. Pathetic.

Now I hear Portugal is contesting Ronaldo’s card. FIFA is not having it.

Argentina is doing well - but the D is mediocre as per usual. Bunch of zombies back there. Good thing is that Di Maria, Messi and Tevez are learning to play together - finally. Ugh! We still don’t have our shit together. Makes me nervous.

Wow, at 2-1 up when Korea had that chance (I read on commentary) I thought you might be in trouble. I think your attacking prowess has taken care of the defensive weaknesses. 4-1! Nice.

Told you the goals would start coming. Argentina looked good today and has pretty much locked up their spot in the next stage.

The further the tournament progresses, the more my English cynicism kicks in, and I recognise more clearly that we just aren’t going to win this world cup.

Fuck.

I always go too far…

I have to say my frustration with Brazil is the same I have with the English Team:

Both have the potential to go too far and yet they somehow fail to deliver, as if the drive were missing to go all the way.

Argentina won by 4 goals, that is the kind of win Brazil should be delivering on their initial games - they had several opportunities, and like England, it only goes so far but not far enough not to miss the mark: the goal.

At this level, as Argentina and Germany have shown, if the defence is opened one should not be failing to score ( and some of the misses have not been near misses.)

I want a Brazil/Argentina vs Germany final.

i don’t care who they play, but the more games i get to watch germany play, the better.

That would be awesome.

Either Brazil or Argentina x Germany would yield:

Passion x Competence

I admire both qualities so I would not be able to chose a side.

I’m the same way. We’re always the most critical of the ones we love, eh?

That said, Argentina looked better than usual (fucking pussbags), but they can’t play like this if they plan on taking the cup.

Yes, thank god we have offensive prowess, but we can’t keep relying on Mascherano (hi-o!) to sweep up the middle. Once things get past him the D is useless. This is why we need Riquelme/Zanetti/Cambiasso.

And what does Maradona do? Refresh the forward line - hijo de la gran puta que to pario!

I still don’t know whether to love/hate Higuin.

Ok, sorry.

/end rant

That made me laugh out loud.

I am sure the Nigerian player just sent out is saying the same about the referee.

Did you see the offence? Apparently the ball was out of play and he lashed out at one of the greeks?!

Shit - the tournament is getting interesting very quickly. All we need now is for Mexico to put the fecking French on their ass and it’ll have been an excellent day’s football (not soccer!).

It wasn’t a terrible foul, he kind of kicked out at the Greek player after the whistle, but the referee really had no choice in the matter as the Nigerian player blatantly attacked his opponent after the whistle and out of bounds.

The red card definitely revitalized the Greeks, and they look to be pushing very hard for the 3 points.

Yes. The ball wasn’t even at play. Westcoast is correct in his post above.

That was stupidity and lack of professionalism on the Nigerian player.
You simply cannot overreact like that at this level: You have to put your team AND your country above your individual impulses. Besides, at this level, don’t they get paid enough to behave? If anything they should think about the money. [quote]

Well said.

GO MEXICO!

North Korea’s striker Jong Tae-Se who was born in, lives in, and plays in Japan to South Korean parents.
The vuvuzelas are worse in person. Before the Japan vs Cameroon game people were marching around the mall blowing them. They were played at the US vs England game, but not to the same extent.
