Why is Hollywood and the film industry in general so inthralled with him anyways? He needs to stick to Kevin Smith movies, Mallrats might have been his best film.

In fairness to him he was great in The Town and Argo, but that being said those are very different roles to Batman/Bruce Wayne and I don’t see him as fulfilling either of those particularly well.

I’m a huge Batman geek, but I’m not getting worked up over the Affleck hate. The internet went nuts when Ledger was picked as the Joker about how awful a decision it was. After that I’ve taken a wait and see approach on everything Batman related. I’m not going to say it will suck because he’s Batman until I’ve seen it.
Not looking forward to this like I did the Nolan films anyways. I may have my doubts about Affleck making everyone eat crow like Ledger did, but I also had my doubts about Nolan’s decision in the first place like everyone else.

Mark my words, Ben Affleck was chosen for his ability to self-direct. His renaissance was purely down to his move behind the camera.He was never a bad actor. Warner’s endgame is to have him direct and star in a Justice League movie. If Affleck was announced as director of Batman vs. Superman there’d be no internet hysteria. Think about it: Affleck is one of the best directors in Hollywood right now. Why would he ‘just’ play Batman?
