WMD in Iraq

Poor Chappelle.

I tried calling him, but he wasn’t available.

If he agreed with much of what you are discussing, he’d be a republican. It just gets better and better with every post.

Obviously other senators were backing bush in the war as it was a foregone conclusion that it was going to happen. No one wanted to be seen as “not supporting the troops” and thus you can find and enless number of quotes giving democrat support for the war.

No one is ever going to know exactly why Bush and his advisors choose to invade Iraq. What I at least find suspicious is the political idealism of his main advisors who might have pushed for the invasion for reasons other than WMDs. While I don’t feel that Bush did anything intentionally malicious, the whole WMD issue was just an excuse for regime change.

hoosierdaddy,

You comment about “not reading your posts anymore” sums you up to a tee.

Do you think it’s possible that you might have misjudged me?

Is it possible that you could learn something from my posting style?

You will find that I spend most of my time arguing with liberals who admit (like you do) that they don’t read my posts.

Therefore, if I have any chance of refutating their silliness, I have to keep my posts brief and in bullet-point.

Finally, it seems inconceivable to me that a Republican would call someone “stupid” and a “two year old” without checking his/her spelling. That bespeaks a level of intellectual laziness that is not welcome in the party.[/quote]

Because no republican, ever, has insulted someone elses intelligence while they themselves ever make a common spelling mistake. In one of your other posts (on a different thread) you accidently signed your name twice. I guess that means by calling me uneducated you most not really be republican since you didn’t first check to see if you had made any such similar mistakes. While we all know that isn’t true I’m trying to explain how your logic is flawed. Speaking of intellectual laziness, was it not you who originally claimed that I did nothing to educate myself, when in fact later in this post you agree that we hold many of the same beleifs on particular issues? Are you saying that you yourself are also uneducated, or has my level of education reached a sufficient point so that it is acceptable for us to agree?

Never did I ever airbrush the party in such a manner, I airbrushed your posts in such a manner. I’m not the most religious of people and I know damn well that the GOP for the most part is 95% religiously normal (by religiously normal I’m referring to non-extremist nut jobs). You are still missing the point, your arguments all carry a sense of an infallibility in W befit only of a god.

Just for my education, Jeff, would you please give me an example or definition of what a “Real Republican” is?

That’s cute, let’s get into a battle of what the other person really beleives in, since of course you defintely know me better then myself. Why don’t we just go outside and whip it out to see who’s bigger Jeff? I find no need to validate my beleifs to you, I know who I am and what I beleive in.

Yeah, it is sad, you are right, I should have just PM’d you, but it got to a boiling point when I realized that vroom and some others would have almost nothing of substance to refute from the original document you provided but can instead attack the validity of the document itself from some of your comments in following posts. Honestly, if you had just posted the link, and not said a word, there wouldn’t be half as many posts arguing much of anything (with the exception of the few liberals who read it and didn’t agree) against it.

Case in point.

I can’t disagree Soco. As this was pointed out to me by RSU, I really want to dig into the fact that Rummy may have pushed for this invasion, and possibly hoodwinkedthose of power. This could lead to the fact that maybe he was resposible for some of the ‘bad’ intel. This is pure extrapolation on my part, but the 2 are not that far apart.

This needs to be explored.

Jeff,

Cut the guy some slack. All day he gets pushed around by the other players, stuffed in his locker, ignored by the media, gets vicious wedgies from the D linemen, and maligned as not being a “real football” player.

Wouldn’t you be that nasty under those circumstances?

Good point, Cream.

However, I have it on good authority that the majority of pro kickers read my posts.

It is an integral part of their preparation.

This guy could ask coach Zook for a leave of absence. Reading my posts would make him mentally tough.

Therefore, he’d be a better kicker.

Wait, Indiana doesn’t reach the opponents side of the field often enough to warrant the extra expenditure of time and energy.

Too bad. It was a nice thought.

I just saw this today.

Obviously the source is left leaning but the actual document being referenced is real and the authenticity is not being disputed.

The summary indicates that the WMD case was simply being used as a justification for war. I haven’t read the entire memo yet but will after work.

Aww, that’s cute, now I’m a kicker! Actually I play defense, but hey just change the facts to how you see fit Jeff, it is, afterall, your trademark!

Also, Ron Zook is the ex-FL coach, my coach is Terry Hoeppner, I don’t get whatever joke it was you are trying to make.

Oh and as far as the joke against my program, well yes partly it’s warranted, we were 3-8, but we did upset a ranked Oregon and Minnesota, not including our heartbreakers to Illinois, Northwestern, Michigan State. etc… (and to be honest I have no excuse about our game against PSU) alot of our problems didn’t come the players, but lack of preperation from the coaching staff. That’s why we changed the coaching staff. That being said, I don’t see what this has to do with my beliefs, Jeff, this isn’t even a personal attack, I know that we wern’t a good team last year, I don’t even take offense to it. What was the purpose of bringing it up?

But my program has nothing to do with our discussion, which, if I interpreted your post before correctly, you wanted to continue thru PM. Whatever, i’m fair game wherever Jeff, if you want to drag it back out to the public forums, i’m all for it.
