Squats were good again today, but kept them easy as my back is just Fried…hence also the the super light “practice only” SLSL’s also. Man. Those kettle bell farmers walks hit different. Lats. A bit in the traps. Forearms. And all the Stabiliser muscles in well, everywhere.. Even Plank hurt a lot. Haha.

Good day!

Press is Miles away from a PR. Makes me sick.

I think perhaps I’ve trained it too heavy to be honest. Might bring the loads down for a couple of sessions and see what happens.

Great Session again.

A little high today, but very active so I’m sure it will balance out just fine…took the daughter to a friend’s birthday party a trampoline place called ‘Flipout’. I knew the father of the birthday girl, so hung around and we decided to go have a jump ourselves haha. It’s quite the workout! Quads were done after an hour of stuffing around haha. And the kids loved it.

Bag another one. Such a good little run I’m enjoying here. Have trained the last 6 days of the program consecutively. And honestly it feels better and better this way. My warmup the last three sessions consisted quite simply of a new zercher hold bottom of the squat hip and hamstring stretch that I just stole from Zack Telander, hanging from the chinning up for 15 seconds, and some quick wrist stretching under the barbell. Done. Ready to front squat. The front squats then warmup the body for literally anything else, and I love that. It’s honestly tempting post EES to continue front squatting Every damn day in some capacity, as part of, or before every other training session. We’ll see, this shit is organic, ill let it swing towards wherever it’s going.

4 days left of the basic EES layout, and I’m already considering riding out at least One more fortnight/10 day cycle, as that’s the guts of this program, or the magic as it seems. I’m in that special situation where “it’s working, why change it”. The front squat I think at least stays the course until the end of the front squat challenge.

Also, have a little conundrum on my hands now for the next session/next two days of training. I travel every fortnight for work, and that fortnight rolls around this week, so tomorrow I fly out, so time is a little tight for a decent length session with my flight at 1555, and my house 90minutes from the airport. It’s the 6x1 day, which takes about 60-70% longer than a 2x5 day. I take my time to get both the weight and technique spot on for all 4 lifts, and with work keeping me busy, I don’t known that ill that kind of time without getting up at 4am.. So I might just insert an extra front squat only session tomorrow morning, 2x5 again but keep it lighter, add some bench, then hit the local communist CrossFit gym near the job site early Tuesday morning as I’ve been doing. Not require on site until 0900, so plenty of time to get a solid 2 hours in plus a good brekky.

Again, it’s organic.

Onwards.
