Leg be pretty red this morning
. Knee a little sore, must have jarred it or something.
But otherwise we good. I never ended up training yesterday. Was pretty exhausted from the whole long weekend so kept it to general warmup stuff and glute rehab.

Squats felt terrible without knee sleeves. Like, Horrible. So I wrapped my knees with a loose wrap for last set because I got sick of it…wraps made everything feel nice again.
Bench was good. Solid. Used a tempo and a long pause on the final set. Greasing that groove.

Had subway for lunch at the halfway point. And now have a swollen upper lip. This started about 1-2 hours after eating subway, and this morning is still there!
Food allergy?? I haven’t injured my lip or mouth I don’t think. Lol. Have taken an anti-inflammatory in case it’s some how injury related and I didn’t notice - I am known for this, especially cuts and bruises
. Just bump and carry on without realising, until someone sees the blood running down whatever body part I’ve belted hahaha.
Subway sandwich was nothing I have not ordered before, though it’s been a while. Wheat bread, chicken schnitzel, tomato, onion, baby spinach, bell pepper, carrot and sweet chilli sauce…the only thing there I can imagine could develop an allergy is the wheat or the tomato? At least they would be most likely. Feeling around with my tongue, there Might be something on the inside of my lip…like and ulceration or maybe it’s a tiny cut (unnoticed injury hahaha). But I can’t see anything when I pull it up in the mirror. Might have cut it on some food the day prior perhaps, I did eat some corn chips. Damn I love those. Sons of bitches.
You’d think I’d notice a bump to the face, so I might rule that out. Though the last time I got whacked in the face playing footy I barely noticed - had a black eye by games end hahaha.
One other potential cause may be from a pimple I got in the top of moustache…who gets pimples at 40yo? Not me usually. Maybe it was an ingrown and it’s now messed up internally. That could be a thing.
Ol’ doctor thinker over here.
Will see how it is in a few hours, then might just make an appointment with my GP if no improvement is seen.
Gotta take my dog to the vet in a couple hours, not embarrassing at all haha. Lucky I have a full beard and moustache at the minute.

And I’m not shaving it off just yet. Hahaha. Seems the ibuprofen might be doing something. Which could mean swelling from an injury. So maybe it is cut on the inside. I’ve got some Keflex here, a broad spectrum anti-biotic (I’ve got some amazing drugs in the cupboard here - love having a nurse for a wife)…I’ll take one.
Seems to be calming down. That’s gotta be an allergy…need to find out what that is and like…not eat it. Lol

Squats feeling really good. No hammie/adductor/glute issues since restarting them. Could feel the weight today, but at no point do I think any reps were challenging. Moved better than 90kg did two days ago. Will add 10kg again next session. Also no issue doing the 3 sets which is good news. It moved so nice today…
Everything moved well. 50kg press felt lighter than 45kg a few days ago which is what should be happening. Same with 90kg bench. First set felt like it was empty. Chins were also pretty strong.
Glad I’ve taken a little time with the conservative approach. Will slow the progress down a little soon to milk it.

To my knowledge I’ve never had any gluten intolerance. I’ve had some egg issues before. Also kiwi fruit really mess with me rather strangely. I got past the egg thing.
It’s been a long while since I’d eaten from subway as I mentioned, perhaps the recipes changed for the coating on the schnitty…? They wouldn’t tell us lol.
Sweet chilli sauce has been my go to sauce for eons.
I don’t eat a lot of bread due to the uncomfortable bloating that often follows it…my previous video mentioned bloat, and it was no doubt from a few pieces of bread I’d eaten an hour or so before hand lol.
Got back under the bar again today as I’m not sure I will get time over the weekend, not have the left over energy

Everything felt ok. Hammies a little sore after the squats. Starting to get enough to Need those rest days I guess. Felt no fatigue on the press at all strangely.

Wanting to squat deeper…but literally to squeezing the ROM at the bottom lol. I get deeper in the squat shoes, but unwilling to switch back to those as the knees don’t like them long term.
Large workout Saturday morning.
5 tonne of top dress moved by wheel barrow, then raked…
I raked at least 3.5tonne it myself, and narrowed at least 2 tonne myself…
Went into Terminator mode and pushed on the whole way. Took 4 hours to get it all complete before we could water in. The other two neighbors were totally trashed. Haha.
Impressed with my ability to JUST. KEEP. GOING.
Experience tells me if you stop…you in trouble. If you don’t stop or slow down …you don’t have time to get tired or in trouble.
. I was prepared haha. Had 2L of electrolytes mixed up and ready plus another 1L of plain water. They did not. Made all the difference IMO.

So no further training on the weekend. Went fishing yesterday briefly. Caught a huge lot of nothing.
Then today just finished up a near 12 hour work day. Good fun!

One of those sessions…body was sore everywhere as I discovered. Mostly the core muscles. Squats felt bad…but I pushed on. The third set felt nice and normal in the end, the first two sets…yeah nah.
Bench felt great. Super solid. Light.
Nice to finally do some deadlifts. And they felt good. No pain in the back at all.

Then I mucked about with the ‘Fat Gripz’. 150kg wasn’t even moving with double overhand haha. Mixed grip was simple. Dropped it back to 110kg, and after 4 attempts only managed to get it to my knees with double overhand

Press was easy. Was going to bench at the end, but pressing Always affects bench performance. Rather have a nice session and bench first.
