I am a little the same. After 3 weeks of squats followed by split squats my rear end is finally starting to get used to it. By getting used to it, I mean only sore for 3 days after !!

Haha yea it’s honestly about the same! Was 4-5 days last week. I trained deadlifts with lingering Dom’s lol, 4 days after squats.

I’m close today. Close. Tomorrow would be day 4, and I reckon it will be recovered in full.

Next session I’m planning on seeing Valhalla…pushing the 8’s Hard and see what I can get through with the 3 minute rest times. Should suck slot.

Still here people. Work has been Flogging me…so have get away from social media for the most part.

Training still going when time. Lol. Leaving for the US on Friday morning for two week. Been a struggle.this past few days trying to not fall into holiday mode too early. :joy:

Squatting again today for a giggle. Should be horrible. Can’t wait.

DisneyLand will do that to ya. Between 20k and 30k per day so far… Every night I take my shoes off and I see new Veins in my feet LOL.

A bit of carrying my 31kg/68lb daughter on my shoulders too. Traps are growing for sure. Hahaha.

Nothing quite like a big family vacation though. Absolutely loving it. Starting to miss training already though, will be a long couple weeks haha. (What is even wrong with me).

So good to hear you are having a good time. Will you try and find time for a little hotel training, even if it is just pump work.

No gyms here in Anaheim. Not near Disneyland anyway. Else I would for sure.
Been doing pushups each morning and just sitting in the squat position.

I do plan to train most days now in Hawaii. Hotel gym every morning with 2 seperate days in the local commy gym…of which I can walk to 4 from my hotel lol.

12500 steps so far today. Only at the half way point lol.
For today I bought us all Lightning passes. Because screw waiting inline for anything. Came this far…spent this much…another 150 is nothing lol.

Last Day in Disneyland, second last day in Anaheim…off to Hawaii Early Saturday morning. The airline moved our flight…from 11am to…630am. yuck. So I was able to alter our bookings here and book a hotel at LAX to make that Saturday morning a bit easier on everyone. No one was keen on rising at 330am to ensure transport to the airport lol. So essentially bought us another 90 minutes sleep.

Missing training a lot now. Been over a week since I even touched a barbell. Work was so busy that final week before we left I only got two quick sessions in the last 6 days before leaving…body is starting to Really feel good though. :joy:

Anyway. Back to the rides…!

I’ve never tried wearing flip-flops (do you call them flip-flops in Australia?) while using the leg extension machine. What’s your theory there? I assume it has something to do with the mind-muscle connection superseding the progressive overload while overriding the time under tension paradigm to enlist muscle fiber recruitment, tapping into studies showing EMG data which contraindicates the firing of the glutes? Interested to hear your thoughts…

We call em Thongs. LMAO. Or flip flops by some folk, but they are a minority.

We never use the word Thong for a single flip flop either. Referred only as “one of me thongs mate”. Haha.

G-strings are the things the Sheila’s wear. We dont call those Thongs like you guys do.

Took a half day tour down to Pearl Harbor this morning. Quite an experience. Powerful. Did the boat ride across the Arizona Memorial while we were there.

Was a bucket list item as with the 911 memorial in NYC. Nice to have them both ticked off now. I’ve also visited Darwin, which was attacked in a similar fashion to Pearl Harbor not very long afterwards. The only real attack of Australian soil (though the Japanese did sneak a sub into Sydney Harbour…but I think it ended up surrendered? Can’t remember exactly).

The only thing remaining on that war time list for me now is a visit to Turkey for the ANZAC Day service. And perhaps Kokoda.

Otherwise, Plenty of relaxing going on here in Waikiki! Beach. Pool. Bourbons in the pool. Yes in…

And in 20 minutes I’m about to go and get my Murican’ on and shoot some guns!
