Not a bad session. Bench felt Strong. Estimated 1rm at 147kg. This is great.
Half Squats were weird. Took a bit to get used to them…still wasn’t 100% happy by the end, but one more session with them I think will have them feeling good. The 147kg set felt the best as easiest of the higher loads. I’d have almost rathered just putting out more reps with that than moving on. But we gotta get the load up with these, as that’s the point of them. The heaviest sets weren’t maxxed.
Pushups are pushups. Same deficit setup as before. Used a rope to get the 5kg on my back, which once in place…never moved which is good to know.
Leg extensions…burn baby burn. Pump city here. Short rests. Driving the volume into the quads. Could feel these alot in the vastus medialis as usual…but could also feel the fatigue being punished in the vastus intermedius, a section I historically have had trouble growing at all. So the half squats likely contributing there.
I’m not know at all for my leg development…so it’s nice to feel.this kind of shit going on. Hopefully signals good things long term aesthetically. Haha. Sitting here right now the only.quad muscle I can’t really tell is fatigued is the rectus femoris lol. Can you even really isolate that muscle in terms of feel anyway?

I input a lowly 210 as a max as I was nursing an injury there for a bit. Wasnt bad…but anything over 200 hurt a fair bit there for a few weeks.
Squats were absolutely abhorrent. Worst they’ve felt in months. Deadset. Just felt retarded. Only way I describe it. Lol. Tomorrow is another day.
Press felt weak. And shoulders very tight until 55kg. Havnt pressed in some time and it showed. Wondering now if that’s all my shoulder problems are…

104.1kg this morning. Trending down again now which is good. Havnt changed diet, just doing more and moving more.
Never done guillotine Press before so was careful. Happy to very slowly titrate the weight up here. Though through some reading, it’s likely I won’t ever need more than 60kg. Maybe less.
Did the dead’s for some practice as have felt rusty lately, and knees and hips weren’t keen on squatting after walking 12800 steps in Sydney today with the fam, some of those with a 31kg daughter on my shoulders lol. There was no shoulder discomfort which is great news. I still think doing work in the overhead position is the thing that’s getting it all working properly again. Felt Great after the press and chinups. Never felt a thing with the guillotines.
Good session. Everything felt good. Couldn’t even squat yesterday. Lol. And today I could have Maxxed out had I used my regular high bar technique. Weird.
Put some volume in with the SSB while it felt good.
Bench was solid without being outstanding. But happy with it.
