80’s for 30m is some good old hard work mate

this made me smile but then I realised that if we went by weight per inch of height he is probably lighter than you and me.

Interesting Concept.
185cm, or 72.8 inches tall. 103-104kg. Kinda soft, kinda not. Seems be week dependant LOL.

I cant imagine being that heavy. Yeah wow. I know a couple of people that heavy. Speaking of height, of my close group of mates, out of 5 of us, i rank 4th in height. - Strongest by a good distance though. That’s all that matters rights? But yeah i’m considerably shorter than two of them. Fkn Giraffes. Shortest amongst us doesnt come out much…so often i’m the shortest when out LOL. I Look down on my friend. He;s only 5’10/. LOL.

Quick one again today. Wanted to hit a heavy bench properly.

Bench:

20x10
20x5
70x8
90x2
110x2
120x3
130x2
136x1 (299.829lbs LOL).

Notes:

  • Very Quick after work session. Another long day in the office…but wanted to get something done.
  • Bench felt Great today. I did a quick light session yesterday of 90kg 5x5. Weight moved well every rep from the start. 120x3 because it was so easy. Might have gotten 130x3, maybe. Might have been able to put up 140kg today without the sets prior. Great improvement over the heavy single i did like 6-7 weeks ago at 130, which was a grind. Turns out the Even Easier Strength strategy is a good one…
  • I May keep the framework in place for Squats and Bench post my holidays which finish up end of November.
  • Have spat out an enormous amount of work in the past three days…so it should be an easy finish to the week…back to lunchtime lifting tomorrow i suggest.

Your whole log is just to trigger me, isn’t it.

But okay, some quick math…you are about 1.425 kilos per inch of height

I am about 1.35 kilos per inch.

Haha, suck on it, fatty fatty two-by-four

Bench:

20x10
70x8

95x5 - 209.4lbs
95x5

SSB Squats:

22.5x5
72.5x3
92.5x1

102.5x5
112.5x5 - 248lbs (or, about 1 @Cyrrex)

Deadlift - Double Overhand:

70x5
120x3

160x5
160x5 - 352.7lbs (bout’ tree fiddy?)

Pullups:

107.5x5
107.5x5 - 237lbs (weight in gym gear plus lunch and a tonne of water filled with electrolytes).

Loaded Carry of the day:

Farmers Walk:

40kg each hand, 10m laps, 4 of them non-stop (put it down, turn around, go again).

Notes:

  • Work has calmed down! Infact it went completely the other way, with today being rather pleasant and lacking any drama…Lunchtime workout. Best time for it IMO.
  • Bench felt great again. Clean. A little fatigue from yesterday, but not really much. Kept it easy.
  • Squats were very good. Something starting to happen here. The 92.5kg warmup felt like and empty bar. No challenging reps until the last rep on last set. But no where near failure. The 140kg single the other day bringing my confidence in my body up a notch again.
  • Deadlifts were ok. All double overhand. Unwilling to go heavy still. Probably wont bother for a good while yet, will just keep them practiced. No pain present with this weight.
  • Pullups were easy. I just hate doing them.
  • Kept the carries easy also.

Not a bad day.

Offended.

Probably.

On holiday in Capetown South Africa currently… Got a Safari today… Well, as good as you can get this side of the country anyway. Have to drive us two hours East to get there. Mum and Sister wanted to come here…could not let them come alone, and dad can’t travel these days.

What a country… Australia is VERY priveleged and spoilt with great infrastructure and safe streets pretty much everywhere that matters. Head on swivel more so than usual here, but being bigger than every single begger and miscreant apparently helps a lot :joy:.

Food…let’s talk food. It’s insanely Cheap here, and Crazy high quality. I’ve been around the world a bit…but I think I’ll struggle to top the food here. Every restaurant and cafe I’ve eaten in has been. Top Tier, with American style service also, due I guess to a similar tipping system. Like honestly it’s unbelievable. Less than half the price of eating out back home, a third of the price too at a lot of places. I had a sirloin steak the other night, cooked to perfection, for about 11 Aussie dollars. Or about 7-8 USD. You can’t make it up. Bought a cocktail for about 7 Aussie dollars also…back home what I ordered would have cost me ATLEAST 20 bucks, up to 34 in some places.

Driving.

Pretty easy. Not really too different from home, they also drive on the correct side here. Taxi drivers are Lunatics. And criminals also as I understand it :joy:. I was told to steer clear and just hire my own car, so I did, and that was cheap too… probably half the normal cost in say the states or Australia where it’s similar in both.

The country understands the safety issues, and employ MANY private security officers that hang about in the tourist areas, and also shopping malls and their carparks. Perfectly safe any where that has these guys. And they are super cool and friendly (also jacked) guys. See them warning off the fake parking inspectors alot…

And said tourist areas…are absolutely Amazing. The scenery is quite breathtaking with enormous mountains surrounding the city and lining the coast. Have explored a lot of it, and plan of heading to the top of the main attraction, Table Mountain, tomorrow morning with mum.

Have I mentioned the food? :joy:.

Have a Safari (Game drives the locals call them) today. Should be cool…

Will have more updates later in the week! Singapore on the way home too…

Notes:

  • Left out leg training today as legs were cooked from the past few days adventures. Did warmup on the rowing machine then cross trainer thing.
  • Bench was good really. 120x2, was almost maxxed out today. Was also mildly terrifying.
  • Seated rows felt great, was disappointed it didn’t go alot heavier, but two big near fail sets got the job done.
  • Was fun to just more or less train Accessories for once. I’ve missed them alot…nothing quite like just getting a couple of Hard sets of a few things.
  • couple pics below. I plan on adding a bit more of a write-up/photo dump later when home, but for @BethB I am happy to entertain a sneak preview.

Starting with the view from my balcony…then a few shots from a top Table Mountain…and of course an obligatary Safari Pic of old mate.

And me mum. It’s a special feeling being able to take her on her first Overseas trip…Will be taking her to Scotland next time, hopefully no more than 3 years from now. 2 if I can manage it.
