How cold does it get where you live? I’m in Canada, and my leather jacket + long sleeved shirt/sweater is fine for most the winter. On the extreme cold days I wear a heavy hoodie with a wind proof jacket over top. I have a black cashmere scarf that helps too. There are winter jackets that can keep you warm without any other layering, but they are always ugly.
anywhere from 40 on a warm day to -20 w/ wind factor on the more extreme days. it depends though because last year was really snowy but it wasnt that cold and the year before that wasnt too snowy but it was very cold. in early November it already got down and i think past the 30’s.

im kinda in the same situation i just moved somewhere really cold and have limited funds im thinkin about gettin one of these Search - Army Navy Store anyone have one or know if they work well?

This thread is retarded. Do some research on your own and buy the one that seems to fit your needs at your price. You don’t need a whole slew of people to help you do that.

I fourth or fifth or whatever it’s at, the Carhartt votes, though, for utility. But they probably are not the cool-warm image you’re going for.

Coat question.

In places where it is really cold, do you drive with your jacket on, or do you take it off in the car when you drive? Like how you take a jacket off when you go in the house?

How do you drive with those big ole jackets on?

How about a nice fleece?

When I’m home (in Maine/New Hampshire, as in the last week) it’s usually cold enough Oct-March that when you get on a shirt, sweater, jacket, gloves, etc. it’s not worth cranking up the car heat. It takes about 10 minutes for the vehicle to warm up so you’re struggling out of the jacket while driving. Might as well just keep it warm enough so your toes don’t freeze.

After reading this, I have come to the conclusion you can save money by living in a hot country.
No, then you just spend your money on your energy bill for AC. I can add endless layers of long underwear and woolies, but I can only take off so many clothes. Our AC bill in TX is just as bad as our Canadian heating bill was.
